My date and I had an awesome time. We went to see Danai Hayes. My first time seeing her and she didn't disappoint.

Pretty good overall. Good comediens, The only think that bothered me was the 20% mandatory tip they put on every bill. I usually tip 20 anyway but I dont like being forced to and dont know anyone who does. This is management not paying employees enough and then forcing customers to make up the difference for his being cheap. Not cool.

The Comedy Zone in Charlotte turned out to be a great spot to see Craig Ferguson, who you might remember from his run on The Late Late Show how from 2005 to 2014. I had bought these tickets months ago, and it was fun watching the date finally roll around on the calendar, especially since this was the second time I caught him in Charlotte.
The early show started just after 6:00, and once we were inside the room felt lively and close‑knit, with those tightly packed four‑top tables angled so everyone gets a decent side view of the stage. Our table was the third one back, which made the sound feel crisp and immediate, and the staff handled drinks and food with that quiet, practiced efficiency that never pulls your attention away from the performer. Mrs K. and I split a lemonade, a light beer and a plate of mozzarella sticks, all delivered without any disruption.
Getting there is the only part that feels a little punishing. Parking in this area is far from cheap, and paying $24 for an on‑street spot feels like a lot, especially when you don't see any handicap spaces nearby even after arriving more than an hour early.
There are ramps outside for anyone who needs them. Once you're inside, though, the venue is easy to navigate with a simple exit path that leads you out through the Foo Bar arcade. Security was light, just a guy with a wand checking purses, and it even missed the big USB battery in my powered coat. All told, it's a comfortable, well‑run place to see a show, and I'd definitely return.

Five stars for Craig Ferguson. Zero stars for the culinary hate crimes happening in the back.
The staff was lovely, which is impressive considering they have to serve those fries with a straight face. These weren't just bad fries; they were those "mystery bag" grocery store fries that defy the laws of physics. Incandescently hot, yet somehow as mushy as a bowl of oatmeal. I’ve seen more crispiness in a puddle.
Then there’s the burger. I spent four years in college eating things that would make a raccoon gag, so I know a "serviceable" frozen patty when I see one. This burger’s only personality trait was "not toxic." It was "edible" in the same way a stick of gum you found in a theater seat is edible.
Paying over $60 (post-tip) for the privilege of eating like a broke college student was the biggest joke of the night. Craig Ferguson? Hilarious. The Carne Asada fries? A hate crime.
