- WBWilliam BrownOct 9, 20252.0Fondren Yard has always been one of my favorite hangouts in Jackson—I loved coming here last fall and winter for the great pizza, top-notch service, and lively atmosphere. That’s why I’m so disappointed now. Since I’ve been back in town, I’ve tried three times in the last week, and each visit has been a letdown. Today I sat at the bar for nearly ten minutes, the only customer there, and none of the staff even acknowledged me. They were in the back laughing and chatting, but no one bothered to take my order. I ended up leaving and heading to Fondren Public instead, where I was greeted right away and had a great experience. Fondren Yard still has all the potential in the world, but the service needs serious improvement.

The place. is perfect for an outdoor spot to catch your favorite artist up close and personal. Think mini Amphitheater with artificial turf.. Great selection of ice cold beer that are REASONABLE compared to other area Amphitheaters. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a laid back. enough scene that we got some nachos and wings during the show. Both were excellent. Congrats to the developers for what they have done with the place.
