I really liked this place! Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. I especially recommend trying their signature dessert. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We’ve been to this venue numerous times but had little to like (besides the music) this time. Most important advice I can give you is to never buy tickets for a concert at Table 161. It is located in the back corner and near the bar where the servers pickup their orders. The constant loud voices ruined the concert experience. I won’t belabor this next issue but I recommend that you check your bill. The prices we were charged did not align with the prices shown on the menu. We were given a menu that listed specials that weren’t actually available during the show. To top it all off the ‘City Winery St. Louis served me a $23 ($20 on the menu) glass of wine in a cocktail glass.

I am going to be a little critical here, because when we go out and pay good prices, we expect more. So, here goes. First of all, our waiter was excellent. Save for forgetting to bring more water, he was perfect. The food. I ordered the braised short ribs with a parsnip (I think) puree and some crispy fried julienne of the same. Not one other thing on the plate. And the serving was not a large serving. I think I paid $36 for that and I didn't think it was worth it. Our fries, which we ordered as an appetizer were soggy, but the flavor was good. Too bad. My wife ordered the shrimp and crab dip, and it was very nice, but did not have enough sliced of bread with it. My BBQ wings were the star. Excellent. The atmosphere was fun. Jim Messina was great and he has a very talented, entertaining band. We knew a lot of sings, as did the rest of the mostly gray haired crowd! I include me in that category. The tables are small. I mean, we had great table-mates, none of whom we knew prior to the show and we enjoyed their company. But we had no room at the table for our plates and drinks. If a place is going to offer dinner with the show, which was a really enticing offering to us!, then we should have room on the table to eat. I literally had to sit at the corner of our table of four. The table would normally be for two people in any other restaurant. It was a little weird having to walk out to the food court to use the bathroom. It's not a short walk and employees had to help us navigate to the location. A bathroom in the club would be really nice. That all said, we had a blast. We will be back. But with a little care, the night could have been better.

If you’re looking for a packed, shoulder-to-shoulder concert experience, this might be the place—but it didn’t quite work for me. The space felt overcrowded, and removing a few tables and chairs would really improve the overall atmosphere. My wife and I attended the Jill Scott and Erykah Badu tribute, and while the performers were clearly talented, the sound quality didn’t do them justice. The vocals were often overpowered, which was disappointing because they had great voices. On top of that, the pricing and minimum purchase requirement felt excessive. The wine was excellent, but unfortunately, the atmosphere and sound issues took away from what could have been a fantastic night.

Corey! You are awesome! The in between conversations of “the water” and your in depth explanations of the meals and wines were amazing! Thank you for your service and your kindness. We will ask for you the next time we come in. The ambiance here is great. The music was amazing. Played all my favorite 90’s songs. Dim intimate lighting. The food was great. Ate my whole salmon plate and my husbands truffle burger and fries were delicious! The fries were hot and had the perfect crisp on the outside. Amazing first experience. We will be back.
