  Let me start by saying that I had high hopes for Laila. Had gone before for a birthday celebration but this past weekend 2/28 we were very dissapointed. A group of us had late dinner and wanted to go dancing. We saw that Josh was hosting an event at Laila so we decided to stop by, it was after 1 am. There was 6 of us we were charged $30.00 each, no problem. We go to the bar and order $70 worth of drinks leave our table to dance and came back to waitstaff cleared our table with our drinks. We left at 2:15 am before they closed because we were upset and not happy with the riff raff of people, over crowded dance floor and music selection of extensive reggueton tribal music set. We are a group of self employed professional middle aged people who are looking for a classy place to dance and feel safe. I would hate for Laila to turn into another Prime, or Blvd nights. Dress code needs to get enforced. Kudos to your security team, they were vigilant on some shady, ghetto behavior. Please keep it classy! Penny In The City will give it one more try as I was invited again this coming weekend.

  Celebrated a very special birthday tonight at one of the best sporadic visits! When we arrived, the entrance was a literal art gallery- and the staff ushered us in immediately. Faith was our waitress and she was amazing! The atmosphere is incredible and the music is fantastic! A visit worth remembering !

  10/10 place! BRING YOUR BESTIES, get dressed up, have an AMAZING night!!! We came for Latin night to celebrate a friends birthday and our waitress Faith took like the absolute BEST care of us!! We will be back for the next fiends birthday 100%. If you haven’t came, your are missing out on what KC has to offer at this cute pink venue 🩷🩷🩷 and the espresso martini? The BEST I’ve had!!!

  Before I leave this review let me set the stage for this. Imagine inviting 14 family/friends to have a Birthday Brunch with you and this is the place you chose. WE chose it because the ad said, upscale, GOURMET buffet, bottomless mimosas...sounds attractive huh? BRUNCH is advertised from 12-2pm. Our reservations are at 1pm. We arrive PROMPTLY only to find that that food is not ready to be served. 1 HOUR BEHIND...TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. They finally announced food was being served at approximately 1:30ish. When I finally got my turn, the waffles were cold, but okay its just a waffle...I got 2 slices of bacon and 2 small pieces of Wagyu steak that was there. There were eggs and I do not eat cheese so I asked the server were there cheese in the eggs and his reply was "I don't know" so I passed on them. I return to the buffet about 20 mins later and there was NO bacon, OR chicken...I told the Chef that the sterno was empty and her reply was "I am out, I didn't know this would be such a hit"...we are talking about BACON...the staple of a brunch! Mind you we paid $150 deposit...so that means others did too...so I am thinking how did you not know how many people would be there??? I don't know a person that does not eat BACON so how are you OUT??? Because I don't eat cheese, I passed on the mac and cheese that was on the buffet...as the others in our party began to eat one of them said..."this lobster mac is trash"...LOBSTER MAC...2 of the people in our party have a shellfish allergy! WE HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS ANYTHING IN THE MAC AND CHEESE BECAUSE THERE WERE NO SIGNS ON THE BUFFET! Panic immediately sets in...the manager is contacted...she refunds those 2 for their meals...but I wondered HOW MANY others did not know that shellfish was in the mac and cheese???? SIGNAGE for items on the buffet is catering 101! This place is a JOKE. I paid $72 for a buffet w bottomless Mimosas and had 1 plate of bacon and steak and a frigging waffle! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT be fooled by the advertising...this is DEFINITELY a bait and switch tactic they use to get you there. Ambiance and music on point! They kept your glass full of Mimosas...IF you want to party for brunch this may be your spot but if you are going for BRUNCH as advertised...do yourself a favor DONT GO...or eat before you go...don't be me...leaving brunch to go somewhere else to eat because you only got 2 pcs of bacon, some steak and a waffle for $72! I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE! With this kind of service...they wont be here long...I guarantee! Oh did I mention that food was COLD??? Fancy Sternos with NO BURNERS to keep the food warm! I would LOVE to know who the Chef was for this event...that way i can remember to NEVER patronize them as well!
