  I had such a great time at The Laila Lounge. The space is beautiful with a really modern, upscale vibe that makes the whole night feel special. The lighting, the decor and the music all come together in a way that feels more like a full experience than just another night out in KC. I went for a Brazilian party with a live band and the energy was amazing. The staff was friendly, the crowd was fun and everything felt very well organized. Definitely a place worth checking out if you want something different and elevated in Kansas City.

  EDIT: CHECK YOUR CHARGES!! BETTER YET, IF YOU BOOK A TABLE MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAR ON WHAT IT COVERS AND THE CHARGES ASSOCIATED. AND THEN CHECK YOUR CHARGES AGAIN!! I have a feeling this happens a lot based on the very uniform reply I received. I really wonder how many people don't realize they've been overcharged. Awaiting a refund for my deposit (charged twice) and some charges for mixers (that was supposed to be included) but still paid more than I expected to. Or what the experience was worth. I don't trust these people AT ALL!! Very small and crowded. Super loud. The decor on the dance floor ceiling caught on fire so we were inhaling smoke for an hour. VIP tables $300 min and up, and people literally swarming your table and over your drinks. Then the next day I noticed they charged my card almost double. Haven’t been able to contact anyone, had to send an email. I’ll update my review based on their response. They have some improvements to make for sure, or they’ll be closed within a year.

  Very unique vibe, nothing else like it in Kansas City. Upbeat and dancey lounge with afrobeats and a sexy design and layout. Drinks are decent, although the Old fashioned is not good at all.

  I visited Laila Lounge with my friends, and we were profiled by the staff. We were questioned and treated differently from other customers entering at the same time, without any explanation. The whole experience was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and completely unnecessary. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you care about being treated like a human being, go somewhere else.

  My friend and I went this pass Friday for a 007 royale themed night and had a great time! The venue is pretty and there was some good music. Our only problem with it was that due to the loud music there was a mistake when we ordered a bottle of wine and what we thought was only going to be a 50$ bottle of wine ended up being a 250$ bottle of wine and we didn’t find this out until we got the bill. Overall, was a great experience and was a pretty cool venue just very pricy so be careful!
