We had a great tour guide, interesting history, huge and beautifully built custom home of an important, wealthy family in St. Paul. James Hill started with nothing and because of his genius and hard work built an empire. Worth seeing and especially at Christmas time when the home is decorated. We enjoyed the tour.

This is a great glimpse into the life of the early previous century and that of a self-made railroad baron. The wood engraving in the dining room is incredible you could spend half the day there looking at all of the Engravings that are all different, at least of what I could see
