This was an awful experience all around. The movie completely shut off 20 minutes in and we spoke to a staff member (mind you we were the only people in the theater). The staff member said the movie only shuts off when there was no one that paid for the movie. He said our system shows that no one bought tickets, after we just came from the box office where two people checked our tickets before we walked to our theater. He then proceeded to get his manager who was working. The manager who was working came into the theater with a rude attitude questioning our tickets. We provided her with the tickets we were given at the front box office by the Marcus Theater employee. She then said, “these are for the 25th of February not the 23rd”. She then sighed and walked out of the theater and restarted the movie in the middle so we had no idea what was going on throughout the entire movie. I’ve never seen a manager take care of customers like she did. She accused us of not buying tickets immediately when she approached us. A manager is supposed to be a leader and she definitely was NOT. The employee at the front box office put our tickets for the wrong day and I understand mistakes happen but the way the manager approached us and accused us if not purchasing tickets was rude and uncalled for. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a movie theater and I am disgusted with how this situation was handled by all the employees involved. There was no apology or sincerity on the managers end AT ALL. A simple apology saying, “I apologize about this, it was completely our fault. Do you recall were you were at in the movie so I can restart where you left off?” But nope, she just walked away without an apology and sighed as if this was our fault. I am just disgusted. I wish this experience upon no one. Clearly customer satisfaction is not a top priority of Marcus theaters.

Went to watch Avatar: The Way of Water in 3D and accidentally upgraded my entire spine.
First off, the seats. I’ve got a Lazy Boy at home that thinks it’s elite. These theater seats? They make my recliner look like it’s on probation. Plush. Reclining. The kind of comfort that makes you consider moving in permanently with a popcorn stipend.
Then the movie starts.
And it does not politely stay on the screen.
Things jump at you. Water splashes at you. Creatures fly directly into your personal space like they forgot this is a cinema and not a battlefield. I caught myself leaning back a couple times like, “Respectfully, sir, that spear is very close.”
The 3D is wild. It’s not a gimmick. It’s an event. You’re not watching Pandora. You’re visiting. For three hours. With surround sound that rattles your soul in a good way.
Marcus Rochester Cinema turned movie night into a full expedition.
Comfort level: elite.
Adventure level: borderline cardio.
Would absolutely dive back in. 🎬🌊

Wonderful experience. Clean, very comfortable seats and temperature, great popcorn. First time taking my kids to the theater and forgot my wallet, staff worked with me so we could get snacks. Awesome night we will not forget.

We went to see the 9:20 Iron Lung showing in theater 11 and we were being baked alive the entire two hours and seven minutes. It genuinely felt like 80-85°F by the time it ended. I couldn’t even enjoy the movie I was so hot the whole time.
