I toured the LS Agency after touring Fort Ridgely. The drive from the fort to the Agency was mostly gravel roads but definitely worth the drive. Cheyenne greeted and guided me to a room where I watched a 15-minute film about the history of the Dakota before, during, and after immigrants to America took over the land. There are many artifacts on display of items made by the Dakota: a dugout canoe, beading, clay pots, moccasins, a tipi. The walking trails have signage that tells the story of the conflict between the Dakota, the military, and settlers.
