We had a wonderful tour & visit. Our tour guide, Connor; was great! We had quite a few little visitors in our group & he graciously answered every question. The grounds are beautiful & the price for a tour is totally reasonable. It’s a great way to spend an hour on a pretty day.

Wonderful program but I don't like supporting a place celebrating Sibley. He was a terrible person.

Great place to visit if you are interested in Minnesota and the history of this part of the Mississippi River. The tour was very informative and we were given information on the history of the fur trade, the people who lived in the buildings, the town of Mendota, and on the restoration and preservation efforts that have been going on at the site. Dakota County manages the tours, but Minnesota Historical Society members get in free as well.
