To the Management of Main Event Taylor, I am writing as a deeply concerned citizen after learning about an incident in which one of your employees was verbally assaulted, threatened, and even spat on by a customer—yet your staff member was the one removed from the premises while the aggressor was allowed to remain. Let me be absolutely clear: this is unacceptable on every level. Your establishment has an obligation to provide a safe working environment for employees and a safe atmosphere for guests. Allowing an individual who was physically threatening, using racial slurs, and committing assault to stay on your property while the victim was told to leave is not just a failure of leadership—it is a complete abandonment of responsibility. It sends the message that harassment, racism, and violence will be tolerated within your walls, and that your staff cannot rely on you for even basic protection in a dangerous situation. No employee should ever be forced to choose between finishing a shift and fearing for their safety. No worker should be expected to endure racist verbal abuse or assault without immediate action taken on their behalf. And no respectable business should prioritize the comfort of an abusive customer over the safety and dignity of the people who keep the establishment running. I urge you to take this incident seriously, conduct a thorough internal review, and implement clear, enforceable policies to ensure that employees are protected moving forward. Training your management team to properly respond to threats, hate speech, and acts of violence is not optional—it is the bare minimum for any business that values human decency. Your community is watching. We expect accountability, corrective action, and a commitment to making Main Event Taylor a place where both employees and guests can feel safe.

We decided to eat the food here. We had a awful experience. We ordered the tacos and nachos a redbull and a Shirley Temple. They showed up with the redbull already open not sanitary. Not only that they never told us it would be open so when we asked to change it. They said they couldn't because it was open. I said but we didn't open it you guys did and they said thats how they do. The food comes and they never gave the drinks right away. So never got the water for one and the Shirley temper until we asked them to bring it. The nachos didn't have enough cheese on the nachos. When asked if we could get more since it wasn't layered like they said with barly anything. They said it costed like 3 something for some more. The Shirley Temple didn't have the yummy worms it was suppose to. There food was pretty pricy also there bowling. They wanted 70 dollars for a hour and 30 mins thats crazy. Our waitress was chynna s don't me coming to this place. They do not commodate you for their mishaps our waitress was awful.

We booked a party (13-17 package) for my son's 13th birthday. 11:30am on Sunday. Upon arrival everything seemed prepared. We had a hostess waiting for us, took us to the lanes and got us set up. Everything went down hill from there. The party comes with 2 hours of games and i paid extra for the VR to be added on, some of the cards didnt work. They reprinted all 10 cards. The 2nd round of cards worked for the games but not for the VR. By then our hostess was no where to be found, we did not see her again for the duration of our time there. My husband asked for help and said the staff was rude to him and did not assist. I finally found someone willing to help. They printed out cards again... these ONLY worked on the VR. So now we have 10 teenagers, 30 different cards, some work for some things, others work for other things and some dont work at all. It was chaotic and confusing. The party package included Lazer tag & gel blasters. My teens went to do gel blasters, they told them they couldn't, I had to go over and show my receipt for our party to prove we even had a party as they didnt put us on the list. The manager came and apologized, said the gel blasters were not prepared because they weren't notified of our party. He was kind and tried to compensate with game cards that could earn tokens. I asked for the $31 deluxe decorated bowling pin i had paid for. He had to go and look for it. I received a plain pin with my son's name and 13 on it using stickers that fell off before we even left. After all of that the kids wanted cotton candy which the machine broke down and took my money. By that point I was frustrated, embarrassed and over it. $500+ later, rude and unavailable staff, over promised and underdelivered ammenities, crappy food, broken machines, I feel like it was a waste. Me and my family will not be returning. The only positive thing i have to say is the 1 manager that was kind and tried to make things right. What a shame.

Decided to celebrate a birthday here and was excited to check it out. Started in the restaurant. The server was very nice and honest about long wait times for food. No problem but the food we received as not worth waiting for. We had to ask for a side salad three times and never got it or drinks we requested. Moved on to bowling. Prices are not easy to find. Once I saw the total, I had to look again to make sure the decimal was in the right spot. If you’re looking to spend as much money as possible on bowling, you’re going to do that here. 5$ for a pair of bowling shoes and no way to opt out of bowling shoes if you brought your own. Also you have to select how long you’d like to bowl and it starts the moment you check in to your lane and shuts off as soon as time is up. They did reset our time since it took a few tries to get the correct shoe sizes. The server in the bowling area was attentive as were the employees working the bowling area. It is very hard to have a conversation anywhere besides the restaurant. They have a variety of games and we felt like the money we spent went far. Our kids loved the options in the ticket redemption area. Finally they will not honor any coupons or discount clearly promoted on their website. There is a deal for unlimited game play after 9 on Friday’s for a discounted price. They told us they don’t do that. So honestly we would never pay their prices for below average food/service when we can get the same experiences elsewhere for half the price. Also the website looks so fun but you have to select the Taylor location to see the experiences offered there and it’s minimal. Our fault for not looking close enough. I can play laser tag, bowl, and play arcade games many other places so just not original enough for the cost and overall experience.

Fair Warning - This will be long, as I want to be as transparent as possible. My family and I went to Main Event for a fun night out and reserved two lanes for 6 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about 20 minutes early, checked in, and were told we’d need to wait a few minutes — which was completely understandable. However, when we were called up, the check-in attendant initially tried to give us only one lane and claimed our reservation was for later. I showed the confirmation email proving we had reserved two lanes for 6 p.m. and had only arrived slightly early to ensure we were properly checked in. When making the reservation, I was automatically charged for shoe rentals for all six guests. Three of our group members brought their own bowling shoes, and although I mentioned this, no refund or adjustment was offered. Once we started bowling, no server came by for nearly 15 minutes, and we had to flag someone down just to order drinks. The food, however, was surprisingly good — which is the main reason this review is two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, we were also shorted on our lane time. I paid for an hour and a half but only received an hour. I didn’t notice immediately, but I shouldn’t have to verify the timer myself. By the time we realized, we were already frustrated and ready to wrap up. To make matters worse, our lane kept skipping turns on random frames. After we reported it, a maintenance staff member looked into it for about five minutes and said it couldn’t be fixed that night. He did add some extra time, but it didn’t make up for the ongoing issues. Another concern was safety — there were tons of unsupervised kids constantly running and walking in front of our lanes while people were throwing bowling balls. It felt chaotic and unsafe, with parents leaving their children unattended and staff not stepping in. We brought all of this to the staff’s attention and asked for a partial refund for the time lost. We were told only the GM could process refunds “due to scammers,” but the GM was on vacation. We were offered a credit to return, which we declined since it’ll likely be a long time before we come back. The staff then asked for the full credit card number to pass along to the GM — which didn’t feel secure — so we only provided the last four digits. I’m not confident we’ll hear back or receive a refund. I understand this location is newer and still working out some kinks, but the lane malfunctions, lack of customer service, and overall disorganization made this visit far from worth the money we paid.
