  Discovered Monday afternoon is a great time to go - little to no crowds - we were in Auditorium 12 and the motif of the red and black carpet and low lighting made it difficult to navigate safely if you have low vision - on the plus side the seats were very comfortable and the built-in tray table is great.

  This movie theater is very unsanitary. There is a major RAT infestation in this particular movie theater. The staff was contacted and they acted like it’s normal. Rats are known is carry many diseases. This is not a movie theater that I will be visiting again. The Health Department needs to be contacted immediately on this movie theater.

  This movie theater is really comfortable. The theater has seats you can recline, great food, and clean seats. Outside the theater itself, the Ancient Egyptian inspired design of the building is very cool to look at. Definitely the best movie theater close to Columbia.

  Theater was small but good. Seats reclined and had tables. Only thing was the seats would buzz when you reclined. The food area is cafeteria style except for popcorn which they get for you, but only had one cashier.

  It’s crazy to pay this kind of money at the movie theater. I mean, it’s fine spending that amount with your family—I don’t have a problem with that, because I can afford it. But at least for me, I’m a movie fan. I like paying to experience great sound and a high-quality image. At this theater, Egyptian, they advertise it like you’re buying a Studio X ticket to enjoy THX sound and a perfect picture. But when you go into the theater and the movie starts, they’re only using the sound from behind the screen. They’re not using the surround sound at all—nothing else, just the center channel. That’s the only sound you hear. And on top of that, the image looks blurry—it’s not clear. I don’t know what’s going on with the colors, but it looks bad. It’s frustrating to spend over a hundred dollars to go to the movies with your family, especially as someone who loves cinema, and then not get the sound and picture quality you paid for. That’s why I’d rather go to Crofton or Waugh Chapel, where I pay my money and actually enjoy the movie with proper sound and image quality.
