  Great movies, but the staff is horrible. I read their Youth Escort Policy, and they don't even follow it; they just use it as an excuse to profile you. I've watched several movies alone and never been asked for my ID, but then I go with two friends, and suddenly they don't accept anything but IDs and threatened to kick me out. I showed them three credit cards, my birth certificate, high school diploma, and social security card, and they were extremely rude. They even said to my face that people like to come here and cause problems, indirectly implying I looked like someone who would cause trouble. I had to call a family member to get us in. They wanted me out and shoved my refund in my face. Please be careful with this profiling theater.

  Haven’t been to a movie in 10 years. Came here twice in 2 days. The price is awesome. The recliners are so comfy and the popcorn is so good. My family will be making this a normal thing from now on. This place is awesome.

  Theater 17, sound was so unbearably loud should have brought hearing protection. Hands covering ears didn't help much, so disappointing.

  Marcus Theater Gurnee was really exceptional. My daughter and I saw the Straykids DominATE Experience in 4Dx. Neither of us had ever experienced 4Dx before. My daughter said that it felt like being on a "roller coaster at Six Flags". We sat in the middle of the row and found it funny that each of our chairs moved in opposite directions. The chairs will make you bounce (bra up, ladies), feel like you're dancing, and like you're flying around on a drone. Whenever fog appeared in the movie, it appeared in the theater. When the band members blasted the audience with water, mist shot out from the seat in front of you (although the mist was limited). Shots of air would puff out from behind your legs and out from the seat in front of you. You can feel active "wind" in the auditorium, making it quite cold... I brought a blanket. There were lights around the walls that would match the music. It was truly a great immersive experience. We saw Straykids in Chicago and this was exactly like seeing them in concert, but with better seats, behind the scenes, and interviews with the members. Would be nice if you could pair lightsticks. I am taking away 1 star because the seats aren't padded and after a while, especially with all the movement, both mine and my daughters butts and legs falling asleep and the movement started to hurt my neck and back. But the movie was over 2 hours long, so I'm sure a shorter movie wouldn't get as uncomfortable.
