Beautiful venue to see an intimate live music showcase. We had a grew view from our mezzanine seats. The food came out quickly and was tasty. The service during the show was like a well oiled machine. I do think the 2 items minimum per person is a bit much. Especially at the price of the food items. Moreover if you get creative you can still meet the minimum without breaking the bank.

The service was awesome. Very friendly and very attentive. Good recommendations, too. The wine was excellent. I was excited to see a Syrah on tap! I got a flight of dry reds and all were great. The ambiance is visually very nice and relaxing, but the music doesn't fit and at times distracted from the experience. The food was very mediocre but prices were very high. Portions were very small. Even the "large plates" were way too small. My 100lb partner ate her large plate, some salad, AND desert. I came with an appetite and was disappointed. We might come back for wine and a dessert, but definitely not a meal.

Hands Down, my venue of choice!! As a member, I attend at least 6 shows a year. The atmosphere is always top tier. I wasn’t happy about menu changes last year, but the selections are still quite tasty. Favorites for me has been ROBERT GLASPER, JUBU SMITH AND JOYCE HURLEY., all of whom need extended days on your calendar annually. I will continue to support City Winery, because it is the BEST ticket in town!!

This was my first time coming to City Winery. The entertainment was absolutely amazing. This was the main reason I came due to Javon performing. However, the service wasn’t great at all. The waiter acted like everyone was getting on his nerves. He responded to one of the customers when they were trying to get his attention at the first table by saying What! Seems like he was frustrated or tired so I just asked when he can, if he could get me a straw. The food was ok, not what I thought it would be. Also, people are basically sitting on top of each other due to how close all the table are. The waiter can’t barely get through. Hopefully, if I go back, it will be a better experience.

The atmosphere at City Winery Downtown Chicago was lovely, and the entertainment by Kindred the Family Soul—one of my favorite groups—was outstanding. However, the seating arrangement was a major downside—tables were too close, and the chairs were hard and uncomfortable. We had to share a table with others. If you have an issue being close to others, this is probably not the place for you. I don’t drink wine, so I can’t comment on that, but they do need to improve their food menu. Overall, a decent experience, but with some clear areas to improve.
