Beautiful venue and Kevin Bridges was hilarious 😂 great view and amazing atmosphere
Excellent show, "The Ballard of Johhny and June" with good sound and acoustics. Unfortunately the seats were so old and uncomfortable it was difficult to relax, also the air-conditioning was going full blast so everyone was sitting with any extra clothes on to keep warm. This was a problem as many didn't have extra as it was warm outside.

Great venue, seats were nice and roomy which was a big plus for me (I am 6ft 5) - good choice of drinks.
The WORST venue I’ve been to!
I’ve been a few times and tonight just confirmed how poor it is! People talking so loudly trying to compete with the music. People’s phones ringing out loud. People filming and then the usher comes over swinging a light in front of you to get the person behind you attention. I spoke to the manager at the interval who said they don’t do anything apart from ask ushers to watch out. So I paid for a show, I can’t have a refund, can’t have vouchers or anything for another showing. I just have to continue or leave. We left.
This is the 3rd time of having these issues at this venue, first time we’ve just left though. I would NOT recommend it!

It has lovely staff who do their best for disabled customers.
However the wheelchair spaces are all at the edge and cut off a quarter of the stage with big speakers, which is a shame as those speakers could be a metre or two higher and not ruin the view for disabled people
The access at the back entrance is very difficult due to the type of doors and the dangerous pavement outside which needs re paving and having a safer drop kerb fitted.
The disabled toilet is not big enough for a full size wheelchair let alone for you to then get off the chair to use the toilet so I tend to have a very small soft drink or nothing at all to ensure I dont have to try and use it, which I have before and hurt myself.
Its nice wheelchair users get into the nicer bar, and with an access card the free plus one for my carer is awesome
I know its an old building, but there are definitely things that can be done so that disabled people like me dont feel like a burden and an after thought. English heritage told me that even listed buildings are meant to have accessibility and ramped entrances, safe usable toilets etc.
Looking to the future, the opera house will greatly benefit from increasing accessibility, there are so many disabled people out there who want to go out, and will go out and spend , if only a few things are improved.
I have nothing but praise for the staff and for the quality of the shows however. Fantastic
