Good facilities and comfy seats. Drinks prices were outrageous. £4.50 for a small bottle of Oasis drink.

Went to watch The Devil Wears Prada 2 at the Guildford Odeon and honestly, it was a very poor experience.
We booked online in advance and Odeon offers four different seating options, each with around a £0.50 price difference between tiers.
We chose the “Classic” seats, which turned out to be exactly the same as the “Classic Saver” seats - the only difference being that ours were located further back instead of at the front.
The problem was that the seat height lined up directly behind the “Premier” seats, which have larger headrests. Those headrests completely blocked the view from the Classic seats, yet there was no mention of a restricted view when booking.
We even tried sitting in the “Premier” seats for comparison and, honestly, they were basically identical to the others. Maybe slightly bigger, but nothing noticeable. Overall, all the seats felt rock hard and cheaply made. There’s definitely nothing “luxury” or “premium” about the experience.
This isn’t just aimed at the Guildford Odeon either - I’ve been to several Odeons and consistently had poor experiences. I won’t be spending any more money there.
To be fair, the Guildford site itself was one of the better ones. The staff we spoke to were friendly, and an older gentleman who directed us to our screen was especially pleasant and helpful.
But overall, Odeon as a cinema chain really needs to step up its game if it wants to compete with the bigger players. If you have the option of going to Cineworld or somewhere like Everyman, you’ll likely have a far more comfortable experience that actually feels worth the money.

Just walked out of this absolute embarrassment of a ‘cinema’ before the film even started!! Run down, dirty, small seats and tiny screen. Charging a 50% premium for food and sweets over the vastly superior Reel in Farnham is an insult to the already disappointed customer. Spare your generic ‘thank you for your feedback’ response and direct your energy into renovating this inadequate dump!

A very tired, dirty odeon, which would be bad enough if you didn’t then walk into what’s possibly the smallest screen I’ve ever seen in a cinema. The people who rate this 4* are mad. We walked out and rebooked at the Farnham Reel instead.

Went to see the Michael Jackson movie yesterday and I chose to come to Guildford over Woking as the ticket prices we cheaper online but when I got to the cinema to pay they were more so I was a bit confused by that, parking is absolutely extortionate think I paid £8 something I was only there a few hours, no ice for the drinks, no air con in the cinema screen as it was broken and it was just run down and grubby. For the price you pay I wouldn’t come back here.
