The place itself is good comfy chairs nice food and drink bit pricey but that's what it is nowadays but the 1 star is for the parking the council ripping people off again they know exactly what they are doing putting it free for 90 minutes when a film takes 90 minutes, it should be free with a cinema receipt anyway, it makes you not want to go because the council cant budget properly just use us as cash cows again when will enough be enough

Recently moved to the area and thought we'd give ODEON Luxe Tamworth a try for a showing of Toy Story. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience from start to finish. We planned to use a Meerkat Movies discount code on arrival rather than booking online in advance, but the self-service kiosks couldn't process the QR code, making them pretty useless for anyone redeeming offers. We were then told that only the more expensive seats were available, which seemed very odd as we'd checked the seating plan online just minutes earlier and could see plenty of standard seats available. It felt like we were being pushed towards paying extra unnecessarily. What made this even more frustrating was that when the film started, the screen was no more than 30% full, reinforcing the impression that there were seats available that we simply weren't being offered. To top it off, we ended up sitting next to someone who managed to get through three pints during the film. The smell of alcohol was overpowering, and at times the cinema felt more like a pub than a family-friendly venue. This is not a high-end cinema, yet it seems to be charging top-end prices while delivering a poor, low-quality experience. As new residents, we were hoping to find a decent local cinema, but based on this visit we'd rather drive to Birmingham, where we've consistently received better customer service and a more enjoyable experience. ODEON should focus less on upselling and more on providing a transparent, customer-friendly service. That's how you keep customers coming back!

I had a really enjoyable visit to ODEON Luxe Tamworth went Saturday and Sunday. The luxury reclining seats were exceptionally comfortable and spacious, making the whole experience feel much more relaxing than a standard cinema. The picture and sound quality were excellent, and the cinema felt modern and well presented. With 10 luxury screens, including an iSense screen, it is a fantastic place to watch the latest films. The only thing to bear in mind is that parking can sometimes be difficult during busy periods, so I recommend allowing some extra time before your film. However, parking in the nearby council car park is free from 6pm onwards, which is ideal for evening showings. Overall, it was a brilliant cinema experience that I would happily recommend. I will definitely be visiting again!

Absolutely dreadful experience last night. Since this cinema was turned into a Luxe, the standards have gone massively downhill. First of all, there was no air conditioning. After what had apparently been the hottest day of the year, sitting in a packed cinema on leather seats with no A/C was incredibly uncomfortable. The response from staff was essentially “if it gets uncomfortable after 20 minutes, let us know and we’ll refund you.” Brilliant — except I use a Limitless membership, so what exactly are they refunding? It’s not as though I can simply get my money back for the ticket. Then there was the guy sitting in front of us. During the adverts and trailers, he was on his phone constantly. Annoying, but whatever. Once the film actually started, however, he proceeded to get his phone out roughly every five minutes for the first 30 minutes. And not just checking a notification — he was blatantly sitting there on Tinder and WhatsApp. I eventually asked him politely to stop using his phone, which he did… for about 15 minutes. Then, apparently unable to survive without his phone for any longer, he started doing it again. So I went to speak to the member of staff, a much older woman. I explained what was happening to a member of the older staff and was met with the response: “So…” I then had to explain to her what was happening and, incredibly, essentially tell the cinema staff how to do their most basic job: deal with someone repeatedly using their phone during a film. But of course they didn't speak to him, or look at the cameras to see if anybody was on their phone. They guy then was on his phone throughout the whole film, constantly picking it up. The whole experience was uncomfortable, distracting and completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable night at the cinema which is stupidly expensive now. For a cinema that has supposedly been upgraded to a “Luxe” experience, the actual experience was anything but luxurious. No air conditioning, staff who seemed completely uninterested in dealing with a basic customer complaint, and someone repeatedly using their phone throughout the film. If this is what the Luxe experience is supposed to be, I’ll happily save my money and watch films at home. Massive downgrade.

I haven't been here for a few years. Its much improved inside for seating when watching the film and very relaxing and comfortable. Sat in the coffee area after the film which was good, coffee was good, clean toilets which was pleasing to see. Downside was the parking which was horrendous spending 10min trying to park which resulted in us leaving the carpark and having to park away from the cinema and walking back to the cinema, making us late. This problem with parking would of possibly caused issues for elderly or disabled having to park elsewhere.
