  We arrived at oden grid, it was very quiet me and my partner bought tickets to 15 rated movie, we paid £50 for food and drink, ( we were charged extra because of my visible extra weight, they said morbidly obese people shouldn’t eat much they charged us more to try throw us off). After going up to the man he declined us because of our hair cut he said “ nobody over 15 would wear a pink or blue mowhawk” we showed ID but “he said your to fat for that to be you” we went back to the till then were offered to go to a different movie that was on at the same time, they charged us 3x as much as we paid and gave us the worst seats, when we went in me and my lover both entered the bathrooms the man that declined us walked in he unlocked the stall and forced us out, then we eventually went to our movie we heard on the radio then making horrible comments about us for being homosexual, they then sent out multiple oden workers on a man hunt to find us we were removed and they took our food. The nacho cheese was cold and the nachos came half eaten, overall i can say oden grid is not for me. 😔

  Down to my own fault for not planning ahead, i timed seeing Minions & Monsters at a 3pm afternoon showing shortly after it's release... in the IMAX theatre. Just under £45 for me and a 5 year old to see it, no concession for her as it was only just out. She'd been looking forward to it so i thought at least it would be the full on experience... I was wrong. The cinema screen was no bigger than the others from what I could see. I couldn't tell any difference to a standard screen picture quality... If anything, the only difference was MAYBE the sound? Even worse, it's the standard seats... Not recliners. 20 minutes in and my niece was struggling to find a comfy position, ended up standing. Its £15 a ticket at the main IMAX down at Science Centre. Odeon 16 metres... Science centre 25 metres.

  Takes you all round the houses instead of straight there and takes you to the furthest car park adding about 10 mins onto journey

  This Odeon is a busy cinema located in a busy restaurant and entertainment centre with high footfall yet there were only two manned serving counters and four automated kiosks. I was accompanying my friend who is wheelchair bound and we got in on time before the trailers, as I settled him then went out for drinks. The Kiosk machines are expected to be used as I was told by the manageress but the information in it was seriously lacking. I think people were actually actively avoiding the kiosks. I wanted a large diet drink being diabetic and and normal cola. The kiosk had 4 options that all read the same incomplete information as in Freestyle cola but without displaying size and type as you buy. The drinks dont dispense here. There was no staff handy to ask as all but one were behind the counters even though only two positions were open. The other person was the one ticket collector who needed to man the entrance to the screens. I attempted to work it out over 5 minutes then went to stand in a queue at the counter behind two sets of people that came in behind me. I then waited what felt like a like a lifetime to get served before I lost my patience. I complained loudly to the manageress who only said that they were busy so to use the kiosk which I explained was the problem. I was ready to be silent and wait when one young man behind the counter proceeded to threaten me that if I didn't stop shouting at the staff he would call security and have me thrown out. There was never any sympathy or apology given. A person behind the counter came round and he was more pleasant. Even though he said I was out of order I could accept that and he managed to get my drinks ordered at the automated kiosk because I'm sure he needs to know the options. As a 59 year old man with mental health problems I may have sounded aggressive but it was unintentional as I just wanted to say how unhappy I was and be heard. A sympathetic or apologetic attitude would have de escalated too. In the end I was so upset I missed half the movie after bringing my friend his drink because I was very agitated and I had to leave the cinema to walk it off outside. I may have became disruptive but the poor information from the kiosks, no staff to help, long queues behind only two counters and the appalling unsympathetic attitudes are all down to the Odeon.
