  Great cinema, nice seats and good sound the only reason why I put 4 stars the price was not great £16 whilst in my eyes superior Showcase was £12.5 for the same movie same time.

  Decent local cinema but definitely need more upkeep. Watched The Odyssey in the IMAX screen and the experience was slightly ruined by the fact that there was little to no bass response, obviously the subwoofers had been turned off and when I asked at the desk about it they just said "that's just how it is". The sound was also just way too loud, my ears were aching afterwards. I've been to many different IMAX screens over the country and this is the worst one I've been to so far for sound. The place also just looks old and run down, it needs a good redo. That being said, when the sound is working as it should this is still a decent cinema to pop down to if you want to watch the latest movie as I've also been in a regular screen and it's fine for casual viewing. TLDR - It's a fine local cinema to watch a movie at but don't expect the highest quality sound or screens here even with the IMAX screen

  An enjoyable experience. Clean and friendly. Good film. One small point: I went with someone who is partially sighted and the dim lights on entrance and exit of Screen 4 made walking safely difficult. However we'd go again.

  Went out of our way to watch The Odyssey in IMAX - but the quality was really lacklustre. The main issue was the sound - a lot of clipping and the bass was none existent. The seat recliners were really squeaky and the men’s toilets also stunk. In massive need of a refurb and updated tech for how much they charge! Vue and Showcase in Nottingham much better quality cinema and cheaper.

  I visited ODEON Mansfield today to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Unfortunately, during the first screening there was a child in the auditorium who was making a very loud, continuous humming noise throughout the 20–30 minutes of trailers before the film even started. It became so distracting that I knew I wouldn’t be able to enjoy or concentrate on the film. Rather than causing a confrontation, I spoke to the staff at reception and explained the situation. They were incredibly understanding, apologised for the disturbance, and immediately offered to transfer my ticket to the second screening. They also upgraded me from a standard seat to a premium seat as a gesture of goodwill, which I really appreciated. The whole situation was handled professionally, quickly, and without any fuss. I don’t blame the child, as there may have been a disability or another condition involved. However, I do think parents should carefully consider whether a busy standard screening is the most suitable environment if they know their child is likely to make continuous loud noises throughout a film. ODEON already offers autism-friendly and accessible screenings, which are designed for those who need a more relaxed cinema experience. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced anything like this at ODEON Mansfield, and I was impressed with how well the staff resolved the issue. Because of their excellent customer service, I was still able to enjoy the film in the second screening. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the disturbance meant I couldn’t watch the screening I originally booked. That said, the staff couldn’t have handled it any better, and their professionalism turned what could have been a very frustrating experience into a positive one. I’d definitely recommend ODEON Mansfield. The cinema is always clean, comfortable, and has a great atmosphere, and the customer service on this occasion was outstanding.
