  Went to see a show here and the show was outstanding! (Paranormal activity) The down side was tiny toilets so if you need to pee mid break it will be a long wait but overall a great experience

  Watched paranormal activity lastnight and it was fantastic.. the cast were great and the special effects were brilliant. Must see show. Also wanted to do a little shout out to the bartender in the ambassador lounge. What a bloody legend .. friendly warm and welcoming.We were first in so got a nice table ordered drinks for the interval so had our table saved for us. Even gave us a cheeky discount on our tab. Perfect night at a beautiful theatre. ❤️

  Paranormal activity is phenomenal and outstanding. Truly a terrifying show (in the best way possible). But the theater itself is quite small, if you're sitting aunder the balcony you can barely see half of the set. There're screens for the scenes that are happening on the upper part of the set, but it's better to get either balcony seats or the part of the stalls where the view is not affected by the circle overhang

  this venue was pretty awful, expenaive refreshments, limited seat space, uncomfortable cushions and worst of all the seats on the back row missed the 3 main "oh gosh" moments ofbthe show because the eye line was cut off by the set. these ticketsvwere cheaper ibassuned because they were so far from a very complex set not because they missed some of the main bits of the performance and plot components.

  I really enjoyed Paranormal Activity. I went in slightly worried that it might be too intense for me, especially because I am not the biggest fan of constant jump scares, but I thought the balance was surprisingly good. There are definitely some jump scares and some very loud moments, so if you are sensitive to sound it is worth knowing that beforehand. But they are balanced with quieter passages, some humour and enough moments where you can relax again. It never felt like two hours of being screamed at, which I appreciated. The acting was brilliant across the whole cast. Everyone felt completely committed and very natural, which makes it easy to become immersed in what is happening. The staging is also extremely well thought through and feels high quality. The production is more reduced and intimate than something like Stranger Things: The First Shadow, which is much more of a visual spectacle. Here you are much closer to the characters and the tension comes more from atmosphere, uncertainty and what you cannot see. Without giving anything away, I actually found the beginning and first half the most suspenseful. The first few minutes in particular are incredibly effective because it becomes extremely dark and you are not completely sure what is happening around you. Even people in the audience were accidentally scaring each other, which made the whole thing quite fun. There are some good twists later on, although I personally got a little lost in parts of the story towards the end. For me that did not matter too much because the experience works almost like a roller coaster. You are there for the atmosphere, suspense and reactions as much as for following every detail of the plot. The one thing I would seriously consider before booking is the seating. The theatre is beautiful but very old, and this particular production uses a two-level set. That means some seats simply cannot see everything. I sat very close to the stage in seat 1C, which was excellent for me as a tall person because I had no seat directly in front of me and finally had enough legroom. The downside was that I could barely see what was happening on the upper level of the set. There were several moments where the rest of the audience reacted to something and we simply could not see it. I spoke to one of the ushers afterwards and apparently there have also been visibility issues from parts of the stalls further back. They have installed screens for some areas of the theatre, which helps, but I would have appreciated something similar for the front rows. My recommendation would therefore be to check the virtual seating view carefully before booking. If seeing the complete stage is most important to you, I would probably aim for somewhere reasonably central and not too close to the stage. If you are very tall, however, there is unfortunately a trade-off because many of the more central seats are extremely tight. That limitation aside, I had a very good afternoon. The staff I interacted with were friendly, the effects worked very well, the atmosphere in the theatre was great and the applause at the end was genuinely intense. You could tell that the audience had enjoyed it. Definitely worth seeing, especially if you like suspense and horror but do not necessarily want something that is relentlessly frightening. A very enjoyable and surprisingly well-balanced evening at the theatre.
