  Myself and my Partner attended this show in May 2026. We had an amazing time. The special fx were spectacular, the acting was amazing and all The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My one and only gripe was that the seating was very uncomfortable. It exacerbated my restless leg syndrome and made it hard to sit still and focus fully on the show.

  The strangers things show was amazing. The theatre was unbearable in the heat we are having. There wasn’t any air-con at all and I’ve come out feeling horrendous. £140 on tickets to feel poorly is not how I wanted to spend my husbands birthday.

  Stranger Things was damn good! The effects were great! We also got priority club bar access and it was well worth it, we got early access to drinks and snacks and at intermission, we had a table waiting with our intermission purchases. It was perfect because when we walked in, it was busy and to have our pre-purchased products ready for us at a table was pure magic.

  I recently visited Phoenix Theatre to watch Stranger Things: The First Shadow, and both the show and the theatre itself were excellent. The production was visually stunning, the performances were fantastic, and it was one of the most impressive theatre experiences I’ve had in recent years. The venue was well maintained, the toilets were clean, and the overall atmosphere was great. The only minor downside was that the food and drink options were somewhat limited. My main piece of advice for anyone booking tickets is to pay close attention to the seat views. I was seated in Row R and unfortunately couldn’t see some of the upper parts of the stage. Was it a major issue? No—the show was still absolutely worth watching. However, for a production that relies so heavily on visual effects and stage design, missing parts of the set can be a little frustrating. Overall, I would highly recommend both the show and Phoenix Theatre. Just be careful when selecting your seats to get the full experience.

  Grand circle row c seats 1 & 2 (possibly the whole row but cannot comment on anything but our experience) extremely limited leg room compared to rows in front and behind. These are sold as standard seat with no warning of the restrictions. Approx 18cm between the edge of your seat and the back of the persons on front. ( Measure this out yourself to see how small that is) is extremely cramped and uncomfortable. My knees were in the back of person in fronts head. A complaint was made to phoenix theatre who initially denied the difference and then went on to admit there was a difference but they believed it not to be significant. . A complaint to staff at the time made no difference either. Customer service was extremely poor and showed a lack of care from the management team there. I was really surprised at the attitude of the managements response so be warned if anything goes wrong they are not interested at all. I was in touch with Alice Mowatt the Deputy Sales and Ticketing Manager & Venue Access Lead as well as Lauren O’Donoghue Deputy Customer Experience Manager. After paying a substantial price for these tickets the whole experience was disappointing due to being so cramped at the venue and the extremely poor customer service at the venue and afterwards with the venue management.
