There is no doubt that the theatre is clean and professionally managed but we did find the food and drink options lacking in quality and imagination. I appreciate that coke and popcorn suits the demographic but the staff felt robotic given the lack of variety and options. Wicked has a good set and was certainly enjoyable. Acoustics were a little overwhelming at times. Exist was well managed overall a good experience.
Wicked is simply a must see. Q brilliant experience that has left me speechless by the end.
However, while I was lucky enough to have found empty seats in the middle, I had originally purchased front side seats. Let me tell you that while the ticket will say you'll "miss a bit of the play" you will in fact be completely blind of 3/4 of the stage. Anything that isn't directly in front is simply unseen.
Not only that but the speakers for the music are located directly to the sides of the room, so the singing and talks from the actors are drowned in the heavy instrumental.
Do while the price is cheaper (still 50£!!) I cannot recommend these seats.
I'd definitely say 5 stars for those with better seats, but if I had no choice but stay in my normally purchased seat, this would've been a 2/5 !
An amazing, breathtaking staging of Wicked!!! Everything was a top notch: vocals, orchestra, dancers, singers, choreography, scenography, sound, costumes, props, and artistic and emotional side of it all. We have been as a family of 4 and we loved every minute 😍🤩😍🤩😍!!!
Today's cast:
- Emma Kingston as Elphaba (awesome! powerful, emotional vocals and the singing technique out of this world)
- Lydia Gerrard as Glinda (a gorgeous coloratura soprano and a touching and colourful actress)
- Jordan Litz as Fiyero ( again a fantastic tenor that showcases all colours and shades of his voice - a duet with Elphaba, I cried)

Amazing theatre very comfortable seats and a fantastic show if you have not seen wicked I would definitely recommend this fabulous show the actors and actresses put on a spectacular performance and the whole cast put on a great performance I believe it was worth every penny to be entertained for the evening as i said apollo theatre is truly beautiful and a wonderful place to visit it’s steep in history just sitting there and imagining how many people have visit this theatre over the years since it was built if only it could speak and tell us the people and shows that have been displayed on stage maybe it's me i just love theatre with character and thinking about the actors and shows that have been played out on stage
