I had a really positive experience at ODEON Lee Valley today. I was running about 20 minutes late and was in a bit of a rush, and normally it can be quite difficult trying to sort things out quickly on the screens.
A lovely member of staff called Tyler went out of her way to help me get everything organised on the computer screen and made the whole process so much easier. She was friendly, patient and genuinely helpful.
Great customer service from Tyler she really made a stressful situation much easier. Thank you!

The cinema itself was very clean, including the toilet facilities, and the seats were extremely comfortable, especially for longer films. The recliners go all the way back, so you can really settle in and make yourself comfortable.
That said, I was a little disappointed with the overall audiovisual experience. The sound didn’t feel particularly immersive and came across more like a 2.0 stereo setup with overpowering bass rather than a proper surround sound experience. The picture quality was definitely on the higher end, but it didn’t have the sharpness or clarity I’d expect from true 4K.
Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant cinema, but in terms of picture and sound quality, I honestly feel I could have had a better experience with my home entertainment setup.

Really disappointing experience. The cinema was absolutely boiling with no air conditioning, to the point that I decided to leave and ask for a refund. I then had to stand in a long queue just to get the refund, and the staff didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. Not what you expect when paying to go to the cinema
Sort your screens out or don’t open them

Having not experienced this cinema since the days of UCI I went there today to watch the Odyssey with the lure of reclining seats and a nearly three hour movie it made sense to try and go for comfort. I assumed the cinema had been refurbished extensively.
Not so much. The outside was covered in rubbish which looked dated and worn and looked really depressing. Staff which I'm guessing are security act make you feel there will be trouble than the idea of being safe. The fountain drink is just coloured water and lacked any sense of a flavour and was gross. The cinema itself had reclining chairs which worked but felt worn out and tired. Today we had an outside temperature of 26 C and the screen either lacks functioning AC or a management team that refuses to switch it on because it was hot and sweaty. Going back through previous comments the issues I have experienced seem to be a long ongoing issue with no sign of being fixed. I wish I had read them before hand but this cinema is anythjng but Luxe as the name implies.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the picture and sound were good but this along with every thing mentioned beforehand is an expected in any cinema and especially at this price. Will not be using this cinema again.

Funny enough I have a review from 4 years ago when watching Spider-man, I’ve had a few good visits since then but this visit, wow.
I attended a viewing of Spider-Man at Lee valley “luxe” cinema last night. Came away disappointed, the venue has really gone down hill.
We will start from arriving into the car park, not maintained, rubbish everywhere, seemed to get worse when I returned to the car after the movie. You’re going to end up with a wildlife problem if you haven’t got one currently.
Walking into the cinema, chaos. It wasn’t even busy, but staff looked like they were struggling. Went to the far left to use the screen and order, selected munchies on there, only to the walk over to the sweet area afterwards and find that they’re actually unavailable. The whole front of the collection area was a mess, receipts, straws, popcorn, drink spilt and dirty footprints all over the floor. Not screaming “Luxe”. Walked over to fill up the drink. Far left machine not working, think the one next to it wasn’t or had limited drinks and so did the others. No warning that the snacks or drinks we wanted were unavailable. Shoes are sticky and I’ve stepped in popcorn before even entering the screen.
Silver lining, the lad that scanned us in for screen 2. I saw Odeon had pins for the movie but it was a Saturday thing, it’s Sunday but I wondered maybe if they would have any. Instead of a straight no, he went to go check and came back with one for each of us. Absolute star. Not because I received a pin but just how it was handled. Even if he came back with nothing, he tried at least. Much can’t be said for another person later that night.
But firstly we get into the screening, not much can be wrong at this point on your end. Customers on their phones during the movie, can be distracting, don’t recall seeing any staff during the movie do a walk in check. Maybe that’s not a thing here, maybe I was focused on the movie.
Worst public toilets ever. Definitely not looked after and maintained. I’ve noticed before that the toilets aren’t being kept up with, hourly checks needed for sure.
I’m stood about in the collection area, waiting for the others in my party. I assume most staff have finished for the day at this time. There’s a girl completely not approachable, headphones on, filling up syrups for the freestyle machines. A tall employee just walks by into the staff room before I can interact with them. I finally see someone a bit more approachable. Restocking the kids popcorn deal area. I ask to see if they have got any posters for The Odyssey or Spiderman. Normally I’ve never had a problem, here or at any other cinema. But the guy just responded “No, you have to be Isense Screen 7.” To get a poster? Blew my mind. But oh well.
Finally left and returned to the dumping ground of a car park.
It’s a shame because there’s not many other Odeon Cinemas near by and this is meant to be a luxe, meant to be a level above normal ones. Reminds me of the ran down ruins of the South Woodford Odeon.
Main issues: cleanliness and customer service.
Seemed to be lack of a manger presence and a staff completely filled with teenagers.
