Had a heart attack seeing the price of a single bottle of oasis. Couldn’t see seat numbers anywhere for the life of me so just guessed. Had a great time. Nice place.

I value having a local Odeon and, as a Limitless member, I visit regularly. However, there are several areas where the experience could be improved. The in-cinema Costa offering is disappointing. The opening hours during the week often mean it is closed by the time I arrive for evening screenings. It is also frustrating that Costa Treat Drops cannot be redeemed and Costa gift cards cannot be used. Pricing is another concern. Odeon’s food and drink prices are extremely high, and the introduction of tiered seat pricing makes visits increasingly expensive despite already paying for a Limitless membership. I have also had several disappointing experiences with screen changes. On more than one occasion, I have booked tickets as soon as they became available and selected seats in the middle of the back row due to a neck problem. We have then arrived to discover the screening had been moved to a smaller screen because of ticket sales, resulting in different seating arrangements. During the most recent occasion, even staff appeared unaware of the change. Some paying customers received refunds, but as Limitless members we received no apology or goodwill gesture. The cinema’s cleaning and maintenance standards also need attention. The reclining seats are comfortable when working, but many show significant wear, with peeling faux leather and signs of poor upkeep. Tray tables are often sticky, and the cleanliness of the toilets can be inconsistent. Finally, the booking cancellation process needs improvement. Limitless members can cancel online up to two hours before a screening, but if any upgrades were paid for using a gift card, cancellation requires contacting customer services by phone. The helpline operates for limited hours, making it difficult for those who work standard office hours. I enjoy having this cinema on my doorstep and want it to succeed, but improvements to customer service, maintenance, pricing and communication would significantly improve the overall experience.

I booked a 10am session. When I arrived it turned out they had moved it to 1030am which screwed up the rest of my day. I decided I needed to leave partway through the movie as I was going to be late for my following appointment. The Dolby Cinema was nothing special and much worse than other Dolby Cinemas I’ve been to. Generally it was rundown with the sense no one cares (escalator not working, soap dispensers broken).

My first time visiting an Odeon cinema for this experience, and for me it changed my expectations for cinemas. One thing I will say is to save your Odeon cinema trip for a Monday, since the tickets are considerably cheaper compared to the more outrageous pricing later in the week. Nonetheless, the ease of service for entering the cinema room is industry standard, scanning your QR code ticket. The cinema screen is large (duh) and high quality and the cinema seats recline all the way back until you’re laid down, which is lovely for when you’re watching a relaxed film with your snacks. Great cinema would recommend just be wary of pricing!

We went to a film in Screen 10 and paid extra for the reclining seats. None of the recliners in the screen were working — not just ours, I tried a few nearby. I emailed Odeon afterwards and they finally replied two weeks later. Bizarrely, they asked for evidence (not entirely sure how they expected that to work — should I have filmed myself unsuccessfully pressing the recline button?), before denying the seats are broken, were fixed, or had ever been broken at all. It’s not exactly a life-changing scandal, but being gaslit over a cinema seat has annoyed me enough to leave this one-star review.
