Nice cinema with friendly staff.
No AC and In a room full of people got very hot, had to leave before the film finished.
We visited an afternoon film today and had a very uncomfortable experience with no air con in Screen 5 and when my wife went out to talk to a member of staff to say the heat was overpowering she was dismissed with a comment of “well it’s the body heat from viewers”. DER!!!! That’s why the Air conditioning should be switched on like it is in the reception area!!! Absolutely disgraceful!!

It definitely needs an update for the modern era, the seats are about as comfortable as a kick in the butt and when I was watching Mando the lights kept going bright then off then bright then the whole film the lights were just dimmed instead of turned off

Very good and enjoyed the movie with my son, great to see some characters from the movie turn up in costume
Absolutely appalled by our experience at Odeon Port Solent.
I booked our tickets online and went with my 15-year-old niece. I’m 28 years old, covered in tattoos, and genuinely didn’t think to bring ID because I quite clearly look like a fully grown adult. My niece is taller than me and honestly looks about 25.
We went straight to the counter, put all our sweets on, ordered popcorn and drinks, stood there going through the whole order — only for the staff member to THEN ask what film we were watching and suddenly demand ID.
Why on earth was that not the FIRST question asked?! Why waste our time making us order food and drinks if checking ID was always going to be an issue? It’s completely backwards and honestly ridiculous.
I completely understand rules are rules, but the lack of common sense and poor handling of the situation was shocking. If ID was going to be a problem, ask before wasting everyone’s time.
In the end, we went to Vue at Gunwharf instead, where staff actually used some common sense and we had no issues at all. Safe to say I’ll be going there in future instead.
