We bought tickets for a show that had been resold after selling to us, there was a lady beside us that bought the other 2 then a family of 4 came in who also bought the same 4 seats, usher came in and was rude and not wanting to find out what had happened then told us he would get the manager. The manager came in and wouldn't listen to our reasoning until we asked why his staff at the front door would scan in 4 extra tickets for the same seats that had been in for over an hour before the show started. After explaining where we bought the tickets he still wouldn't listen and threatened that the show wouldn't start until we left, we explained that we wouldn't be leaving as we had tickets and were seated and that he manage the situation and find seats for the other guests. There was no apology and he seated the family of 4 only 2 rows behind us after telling us that the show wouldn't go ahead until we left as it was a full house. It's funny how when you ask them about there staff letting people in over the allocated amount of seats in the venue, when you ask them about their fire regulations and also there bar licence that they seem to find a solution. As regular visitors to the Theatre Royal, you kind of expect a bit more professionalism. JUST TALK TO YOUR PATRONS, You were let down by the older guy with the bald head, and the state he left the young girl in, you should have a look at your management style, it was the production of Six

The staff were extremely helpful and kept everyone well informed, providing regular updates on when the auditorium would be ready, which was very much appreciated. The theatre itself was clean, tidy, and well maintained throughout. It was also very well signposted, making it easy to find our way around and locate everything we needed.

Got tickets that claimed to be "limited view" however upon the performance starting it became apparent there was infact no view and I had to leave early due to simply not being able to see anything that happened on the stage. After putting in a complaint they tried to state they "make every effort" to tell you the view would be obscured, the entirety of that effort being "limited view" written on a small part of the screen. No preview of the view or description of how far back the play occurs on the stage. Not stating that a stage light was set up directly in the way and you would be watching the 5% of the visible stage through it until it would rotate and remove even that small modicum of sight. They then offered me a concession bundle on my next visit. My tickets cost almost £200, the bundle is about £5 worth of value. After saying so to the agent, they have halted all communication. They staff and venue were nice but it was wasted money and a very disappointing experience.

Pre show everything is as you'd expect, nice foyer, toilets etc, sadly the main event lacks. During a performance of Paranormal Activity, which relies on soundscape and tension, the constant noise from the badly maintained chairs (squeaking at the slightest movements) really dragged you out of the performance. The same is true of the caption screens (don't get me wrong, it's a great initiative) which were so bright and distracting. The dress circle seats from F back and 17-24 (roughly) should have been sold as restricted view given how bad it was. Maybe they could use less intrusive colours on the leds.

First time at this theater my son took me to see paranormal activity for my 60th I was so disappointed with our booth on the right as we couldn't see anything on the stage to the right as lighting was directly in our view making it awkward to see anything, and sadly wee left not long after half time as our backs and necks where in agony trying to see, can't fault the staff who were lovely . BUT to think my son paid £90 each for something we ended up walking out of is a disgrace, IF I ever go back I won't be recommending the booths ever so 2 very unhappy customers
