Went with partner and two of our grandkids recently and watched The Mandalorian & Grogu in the 3D screen cinema as the IMAX was full and couldn't get 4 seats together.
Seating was fine as in second row so right in front of the screen but kids kept fidgeting as they said seats weren't comfy.
Prior to going in, spent £60 on food and drinks which I felt was a bit much considering only got three popcorns, two hot dogs, four drinks and two pick n mix. Cost of food and drink was more than the cost of four tickets and four pairs of 3d glasses.
Apart from that, had a good evening/night.
Main foyer was clean, toilets were clean as well so can't fault their cleanliness. Staff were pleasant and helpful also.
Would go back again but will try and choose better seats so kids can watch film without fidgeting.

Good location and facillities are acceptable. Staff are all good. The big issue with this cinema is they use terrible outdated low-contrast Xenon bulb digital projectors that produce washed-out blacks, muted colors, and a generally soft 2K image. Only their IMAX screen uses the modern 4k setup, meaning it has the physical size and cutting-edge laser clarity of modern cinema. This is the only screen i will watch a movie on. If i am paying to go to the cinema i want the cutting edge tech (or close to it) for the best viewing experience possible. If you want to watch a modern 4k film other than the IMAX they simply dont have the capability to represent the true quality of the film and black levels etc. The last non IMAX film i watched had a layer of dust on the projector window that showed up on the big screen dulling the picture and ruined the already mediocre experience completely. They rely on the local captive audience to keep coming because there is no other local option. The best alternative is as far as wester hailes! A cinema's absolute bare minimum requirement should be to provide a visual and auditory experience that cannot be replicated at home. ODEON Dunfermline fails this metric completely on all screens but the IMAX. My home TV and surround sound offers a significantly better viewing experience that even my wife and kids have noticed. ODEON continues to demand top-tier ticket prices and exorbitant concession rates for a venue that feels thoroughly unmaintained on a technical level. While other chains and modern "Luxe" branches across the Central Belt have systematically stripped out old lamp-based systems to deploy pristine 4K Barco or Sony laser projection alongside Dolby Atmos audio, Dunfermline sits on its hands, hoping audiences simply won't notice how degraded the projection quality has become.
