Went for my birthday, and got a free ride on the glass boat, which I was planning on doing for this trip.
At the touch pool we met Jared, who was friendly and informative. We met him again at the boat as he was our Captain. Once again he was very friendly and informative. He also listened and engaged with the ramblings of myself, partner, and best friend. He told us about the individual turtles and the zebra shark, Dotty.
We bumped into Jared a third time near the ants, where he had seen us and decided to come over, specifically to tell us his favourite at the site is Herman, the hog-nosed turtle, and proceded to give us some great facts about him. We really appreciated that he came over to tell us this, and it was the cherry on the top of an already wonderful day at the aquarium.
The turtle feedings and talk was amazing, and as always, the animals were incredible.

We recently visited SEA LIFE Brighton and had a wonderful experience. Being the world's oldest operating aquarium adds a special charm to the attraction, and it was fascinating to see how history and modern exhibits have been combined so beautifully.
The variety of marine life on display was impressive, with plenty to keep both children and adults engaged throughout the visit. The different themed areas were well presented, and it was enjoyable to take our time exploring the exhibits and learning more about the underwater world.
One of the highlights for us was the main ocean display with its stunning underwater tunnel. Watching the rays and larger fish glide overhead created a very relaxing and immersive experience. The aquarium does a great job of making visitors feel close to the marine life while still providing plenty of educational information along the way.
A special mention also goes to the jellyfish exhibits, which were beautifully illuminated and mesmerising to watch. The movement and colours created a calming atmosphere, and they quickly became one of our favourite parts of the visit.
The historic architecture of the building itself adds to the experience and gives SEA LIFE Brighton a unique character that sets it apart from other aquariums. You can appreciate not only the marine displays but also the heritage of the attraction itself.
We also appreciated the accessibility arrangements and the helpful staff, who contributed to making the visit comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. The attraction is family friendly and suitable for visitors of all ages.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. SEA LIFE Brighton offers a great combination of history, education, and entertainment, making it a wonderful day out on the south coast. We would definitely recommend it and would happily return again in the future.

Booked tickets for my elderly dad, his friend and myself for Monday just gone. I've been here a few times now and every time has been lovely. I was a little disappointed that a few sections were empty/being cleaned or fixed maybe but I noticed we got around it very quickly... And my dad is semi disabled, as am I and his friend is in their mid 80's so we weren't sprinting around!! So, I was a little disappointed we finished so quickly. But... I can unequivocally say the staff were excellent, friendly ( if on occasions, sorry to our American friends, very "O. T. T" with the overly the top "Niceness and O. T. T teeth baring smiles!! 😁 )
They were friendly and professional and respectful. Everything you saw was awe inspiring and often sad to see what we, humans do to our marine life and shorelines. I absolutely loved the " tank" where the 2 huge turtles were ( I forgot their name ) swimming with them were all manner of fish big and small. The sharks were beautiful also. There were 2 things personally for me I could criticize... I always adhered to the strict guidelines regarding photography, I don't want to stress these creatures at all but when trying to take a decent photograph, even with a professional camera , you had the lights from the opposite side of the area shining straight at the glass causing a coloured glare. Plus, is that light ok for the marine life?? The second was the " Pig Nosed Turtle " near the end of the tour. To me, it was stress swimming, back and forth against the front of the spectating glass, others may have found it cute, appealing, etc but I was a little concerned about it.
Apart from that, it's a pleasure, but don't think you'll be there for hours, with 2 elderly people ( and this also included stopping to read about the marine life, they were observing and slowing or stopping to enjoy each tank, we finished the whole thing in roughly an hour!!!
Sea Life Brighton is a lovely place to visit, especially for families, children, and anyone who enjoys learning about marine life. Located close to Brighton seafront, it is easy to include as part of a day out in the city. The building itself has a historic feel, which makes the visit a little different from a modern aquarium, and the atmosphere inside is calm, colourful, and interesting.
One of the best things about Sea Life Brighton is the variety of sea creatures on display. There are fish, rays, turtles, sharks, jellyfish, and many other marine animals to see. The tanks are well presented, and the lighting makes the displays attractive and relaxing to walk around. The ocean tunnel is one of the highlights, as it gives visitors the chance to walk through and see sea life swimming around them. It is especially exciting for children and makes a great photo opportunity.
The aquarium is also educational. There is useful information around the exhibits, helping visitors understand more about the animals, their habitats, and the importance of protecting the oceans. It is a good way for children to learn while still having fun. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they seem knowledgeable when answering questions or explaining different exhibits.
The visit is enjoyable, but it may feel a little short depending on how quickly you walk through. Some visitors might expect it to be bigger, especially if they have been to larger aquariums before. However, if you take your time reading the information, watching the animals, and enjoying each section, it becomes a worthwhile experience.
The location is another advantage. Since it is near the beach, pier, shops, and restaurants, it is easy to plan other activities before or after your visit. This makes Sea Life Brighton a convenient attraction for tourists as well as local families looking for something fun to do.
Overall, Sea Life Brighton is a pleasant and memorable attraction. It offers a good mix of entertainment, education, and visual displays. Although it may not take a full day to explore, it is still a great place to visit for a few hours. I would recommend it to families, couples, tourists, and anyone interested in marine life. It is especially enjoyable for children, who will love seeing the colourful fish, sharks, turtles, and the underwater tunnel. Despite being slightly smaller than some may expect, Sea Life Brighton provides a fun and meaningful experience by the seaside.
