Service was lovely. Price was decent.
But went "all out" and paid for premier seats in a 3D film and was a bit disappointed. The screen was so dirty/marked that it sort of ruined the illusion of the 3D.
The premier seats were right at the back (expected) but nearly the same height as the seats in front so both me and my cousin (both 5 foot 4 tall) couldn't see the whole screen as the chairs in front were in the way a little. The more you get comfy and 'slump', the more in the way they were.

Used to come here all the time, but they've taken to leaving the lights on during the film. Ruins the picture, and you can see everything going on around you. Worth driving the extra 30 minutes to Vue and actually getting a cinema experience.

Use awful reflective screens which cause the light to be very uneven due to absorbing the source of light from the projector as a 'blob', and this looks particularly bad if you're sat to the far side meaning one side of the picture is considerably darker than the other as the 'hot spot' moves depending on where you are sitting in relation to the projector. But that's a company-wide issue - and one that needs looking at as upgrades are made otherwise poor picture quality will continue (this is sadly a problem inherited from UCI cinemas when the same company bought out both chains meaning ODEONs got the same type of screens!). So, my experience with Llanelli is mostly positive, the auditoriums were clean, sound levels were good as was the temperature in the auditorium I was using (Screen 1). Staff were also pleasant as always and provided a good service. My main issue this time having watched a film with dark scenes is the amount of light spillage onto the screen. Firstly, the houselights do not go all the way down (they stay on about 10% which is quite a bit in the LED era!) which means the auditorium is reasonably dark, but the issue comes from a very poorly placed row of lights DIRECTLY in front of the screen. Why do they need to be there - they aren't even decorating the screen when fully on, just washing it out? There would still be plenty of light on the front aisle if these were a little further back. These light up the screen far too much making dark scenes very washed out and poorly contrasted - you cannot actually see where the aspect ratio ends when watching a film not in full cinemascope (the discontinuing of screen masking was also a mistake with this in mind) and detail is hard to make out due to the milky filter put over the screen from these lights. This is further complicated by the single most badly positioned Fire Exit sign ever which lights up the left side of the screen like a Christmas Tree - I'm aware they have to be on legally but surely something could be placed at a right angle next to the sign to prevent spillage onto the screen whilst still making it visible? Design flaws I'm sure and not the fault of the staff, but they make for very annoying viewing at times.
