We visited Elev8 on a vacation weekend in Tampa. Very much a mixed bag, but ultimately left us feeling pretty frustrated and we are confident in saying we won't visit the chain again. Will break everything down from good to bad:
Go-karting (4/5) - expensive for what ends up being <10min in the kart, but it was fun. Smooth experience, fun karts.
Ropes course (4/5) - we've seen these all over the place but have never done one. A lot of fun.
Minigolf (3/5) - pretty standard blacklight minigolf. Nothing to write home about, but no complaints.
Arcade and customer service (1/5) - this was the most frustrating part of our experience. We got an X-Cube pass as part of our bundle. When we got started with the cube, there were some issues with the controllers. We tried it for a couple minutes, so I went to go grab an attendant. They said they'd be with us immediately after finishing that transaction; ten minutes later, there's no assistance coming, and that attendant is still working at the desk with a whole new group of people. We grabbed someone else, waited another ten minutes for a game tech to come over, and they started checking the machine. They weren't able to get it to work, and after about five minutes they walked out, leaving us in the X-Cube without telling us what to do (no follow up whatsoever, it was very confusing). After nearly 40 minutes of waiting for them to get the machine to work, we then waited in line for ten minutes to get a refund for the X-Cube. They said they couldn't grant a refund, which was fine, and offered us arcade credits.
We would have been good with the arcade credits, but the games are not well-maintained. We tried to play 10-12 two-player games, and the two-player functionality worked on exactly three of them. The VR games we tried were misaligned or not registering a controller and were unplayable. Half the skeeball games were down. A couple of games charged our credits but wouldn't start; when we tried to get the attention of the manager who helped us with the arcade credits, he acted like he didn't hear us! Wildly bad service.
Overall this place needs some additional maintenance and oversight on the arcade floor.

We had a GREAT experience! I honestly had low expectations based on some reviews, comments, and of course prior experience with similar indoor parks. All the games and activities were fun, working, and well staffed. The layout is organized and functional. It definitely seemed busy, but we never felt crowded or waited too long for any events. Sure it’s a bit expensive, but after all was said and done, it was quite reasonable, even compared to similar parks, so we thought it was well worth it. And all the employees were VERY pleasant and helpful! My only suggestions would be something to speed up the initial “check-in” counter (took a while to get through and hard for staff to determine who was next or had been waiting the longest, although how they set up the events on your play cards was a little confusing at first, so if it’s your first time and have questions, then it will obviously take longer 😉); there was only one hand dryer in the bathroom and zero towel dispensers (i never ran into a problem personally, but could see that being an issue, so more dryers would be beneficial); and maybe a few more sanitizers placed throughout. Overall, we were very impressed and had an awesome time! We would definitely return and recommend Elev8!

Fun place for the kids!! So much stuff to do.
I also had an issue with a cyber Monday deal I bought and it rang up wrong when I tried to redeem and the manager Dennis… saved the day. Above and beyond expectations. The man is manager for good reason!! I’ve never had anyone treat me with such kindness and efficiency. Thanks Elev8 and thanks Dennis!!!!

Went today with the family. I brought 2 Groupon so I had two $80 vouchers. The girl at counter asked what we wanted to do. We listed the things and she said a lane was open at the bowling alley and we should head there and then come back in the line for our other activities. We did, although something told me not to. When we arrived at the bowling they said oh are you the family with the Groupon we just gave the lane to another party, you'll have about a half hour wait. 🤦♀️ ok. We moved on and went back in the line, 2nd guy was helpful. So we decided next to do the dark ride. Again was told it was open and we get there and it indeed was not. So we used some of the arcade money and did a racing game and was told it was our turn so unless we wanted to give up our place in line we had to come now. So we lost game tokens. We literally drove 1.5 hrs to get there and will not go back. Also, pretty pricey. We were there 2 hrs and I spent $220 & it felt like we hardly did anything. In my opinion we have much better things with better customer service closer to home
Place clean and staff nice but did the timed card for the first time and was REALLY disappointed. First it only works on ab half the games, 2nd u have to wait in between games before you can play another. Those 2 things were not the biggest deal...annoying but whatever. But when it became time to cash out tickets my daughter was really excited bec she hit two jackpots and they told her the timed cards don't receive points. No one told us that and it did not say that anywhere. The lady told us that it happens (people disappointed) way more often then it should. If we would have know that we would not have gotten the timed card or would have managed our daughters expectations. Will likely not be back or if we do try it again would never do the timed card.
