Don’t waste your time waiting for a table, they let people lollygag for hours only ordering a drink and waters, if you’re hungry go somewhere else. They need a time limit if people are gonna sit there not spending money.

Stopped by on Friday night with a group of 8, pleasantly surprised to get a table right by the window. Adam greated us and provided awesome service. He made perfect recommendations on food items to share for the table. Cocktails were delicious and the view of the Mickeys Not So Scary fireworks was great!

We have been to this bar several times and usually always love it, but this time was a little different when it came to the start of our night. We had just dined here 3 nights prior and sat at the bar, so we figured we’d try sitting at a table to change things up. We had a party of 3 and it was a fairly slow night, so there was a table for 2 at the corner of the lounge open as soon as we arrived. We asked the bartender if we could add a seat to the table and he said yes if we could find an extra empty seat available. Well we did, and as we are sitting down this waitress hurries over and states that we cannot sit there with 3 people. No greeting, apologies, explanation, or anything. Completely rude and forces us to move (we were not blocking anything or in the way by adding an extra seat to this table). So we decide to move to the bar to the only seats available and I take the seat next to the service station, which was generously roped off. I was no where near the rope or crossing over into the service station. This same waitress comes up to the service station bar immediately after making us move and asks me to move again because my bar seat is now too close to the service station. Mind you.. I sat exactly where the seat was which was no where near the rope. I move literally an inch and she says “that’s good.” It seemed 100% purposeful because we were not pleased that she rudely made us move in the first place. On top of it, to get my attention when she wanted me to move, she just says “hun!” next to my head rather than “excuse me” like any other adult with basic manners would. I am 32 years old and no other middle aged person should be calling me hun. It’s extremely condescending and rude. We seriously almost left because in all my years of coming to the Polynesian I have never been treated so poorly. She was a middle aged waitress and I’m pretty positive her name was Deanna or something that started with “D”. This is a server that should be at any old Orlando chain restaurant… not Disney. Disney employees have top notch service skills and go above and beyond to make the guests comfortable. This chick couldn’t care less. And I understand that sometimes the servers don’t make the rules.. but it was 100% her attitude that made the whole situation a complete turnoff. I have been in the food service industry for years and I would never even think of talking to a guest like that. I would give her zero stars if I could just based off of her awful attitude.
BUT thankfully after we sat at the bar, our experience was completely turned around by the best bartender, Anthony. From start to finish, he was such a joy to speak with and the definition of hospitality. So incredibly nice, accommodating, and truly enjoyed chatting with us the whole night. We stayed for a while because of him. He is a prime example of what makes Disney different in the type of people they hire with warm, genuine personalities. He made phenomenal drinks, and the food was amazing as always! Deanna needs to take a few lessons from him in the manners/personality department. He really turned our night around after the awful start. I’d give him a million stars if I could. Truly an exceptional employee that all three of us loved! We will come back because of him. I’m glad things worked out the way they did because we had such a great time with Anthony and we wouldn’t have had near the same experience with the mad at the world waitress.
