I stopped into the Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian—an elegant bar in a resort so classy I can’t actually afford to stay there, but I can at least pretend for an hour. The space was bright, light, and effortlessly sophisticated. Exactly what you’d expect from a place where even the chairs seem to have better manners than most people. The initial reason we stopped was to sample the Lavender Fog, a gin-based drink. It was simply elegant—perfectly balanced, frothy, smooth, and neither overly sweet nor overpowering. It set the tone immediately: this wasn’t just a bar, it was an experience. Tyler, the bartender, was both pleasant and skilled. His professionalism and easy conversation added to the enjoyment and made the experience feel even more refined. I originally just wanted a quiet drink, but the atmosphere had other plans. The bar was inviting, and the bottles behind the counter looked like they were curated by a museum. Among them sat the decanter I’ve admired for years but always avoided ordering: Louis XIII cognac. My long-desired, long-coveted, long-justified-but-never-acted-upon fantasy drink. After a little time soaking in the ambiance (and realizing I would never actually book a room here unless I won the lottery), something in me finally said, “You know what… why not?” And there it was—a beautiful, perfect, gloriously expensive taste of Louis XIII. Although I am not a trained cognac taster, I absolutely loved the aroma and taste. It was everything I hoped for… except it was just as expensive as I had imagined. Was it worth it? Without question. Smooth, rich, almost spiritual. The taste was spectacular—bursting with a complex palate of flavors. But the aroma was simply one of the most enjoyable sensory experiences I’ve had in a very long time. Did my wallet whimper? Absolutely. Would I do it again? Probably—just maybe not until the next big promotion. The Enchanted Rose didn’t just serve me drinks—it talked me into finally fulfilling a bucket-list indulgence I’ve been avoiding for years. And honestly? I’m glad it did.

I came here for a drink with my mom today and was incredibly disappointed! I ordered a Kir Royale and the menu said it had “Chambord pearls.” The pearls are actually orange and I have a sensitivity to orange. When I asked the waiter because they tasted off, he said the they are orange boba that have “Chambord poured on top.” Besides the deceptive menu, the spiced nuts were soft and the candle holder had a crack. I spoke to a manager named Jenn, who offered me another drink and said the menus are “misprinted”, but did not seem to care. I never would have ordered that drink if the menu was honest!

As a first timer at a Disney Lounge, I appreciated the themeing. It was present but subtle. The menu offered a variety of drinks. My wife and I each enjoyed our drinks. At $20 a drink it felt like a splurge. Generally, I am loathe to pay that much for a drink. This was a special occasion so I went with it. It was an enjoyable time at the lounge but not something I'm in a hurry to do again.

Waitress (Lorie) forgot to enter two out of the four drinks ordered and informed us it was a system glitch issue.... The missing drinks finally arrived after 25 additional minutes of waiting. ( Original two drinks were now watered down $24 drinks). Settling the bill was another 25 minutes while the waitress yucked it up with the Kardashian esk crew. For a restaurant that claims to be high class one would hope and expect better service. Do better!
