The actual game experience was so fun and worth the cost, however, the professionalism, organization, and cleanliness overall would stop me from booking at this location again. We arrived an hour early and decided to eat while we waited. All of the tables were filthy with no one cleaning them for over 40 minutes. There were no napkins or utensils available. When it was time to check in, we got in line at the front and waited for 20 minutes for a group to ask a hundred questions. Multiple staff walked by as the line started to pile up. Someone stopped and asked if everyone was checking in and asked all of us for our reservation names. They then proceeded to check in 3-4 groups that were waiting behind us (our time was scheduled before everyone else from what I could hear). I asked what we were waiting on in particular since he had already gotten our names - he then told us to go wait in a different line. When we were finally helped, we were told it would be another 30 minute wait. That wait turned into an hour before we were able to go in. Overall, it was a fun time eventually, but the entire place was dirty and disorganized.

I love Beat the Bomb and have been several times. It’s a great group activity for all ages. They also have great food and drinks. The only reason I couldn’t give 5 is because I have noticed the lockers can be hit or miss on working, and the games can occasionally glitch. The staff has always corrected it quickly, however!

We recently visited Beat The Bomb DC to celebrate my child’s birthday. Overall, the experience was mixed. On the positive side, the games themselves were fun and engaging. The kids especially enjoyed the interactive challenges, and the environment was energetic and well-suited for a group celebration. It definitely created excitement in the moment. However, the actual Beat the Bomb experience was confusing and didn’t feel very well explained or executed. Unfortunately, the bigger disappointment came afterward. I paid for an add-on that I never received, and we also never received the video and photos from the experience — which was one of the main reasons I chose this venue for a birthday celebration. I reached out for assistance but was not given clear information or meaningful help in resolving the issue. It was a letdown, especially because I was hoping to capture and keep those memories from my child’s special day. With better communication, clearer instructions, and follow-through on purchased add-ons and media, this could have been a much stronger experience.

I booked the birthday package for my son on 2/15, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing due to how unorganized the Sunday staff was. As a first-time guest, no one explained how the process worked. The package description mentioned a semi-private room, but upon arrival I was told to simply pick a table in the main area. Throughout the party, I repeatedly had to return to the front counter to ask basic questions like: What’s next? Where do we go? Where’s the food for the kids? Do you have cups? There was no clear guidance or coordination. When I asked again about the semi-private room, I was told it was “only for events.” I questioned whether birthday parties are not considered events, and was told no. However, I saw another group leaving with birthday balloons who had clearly used the same semi-private room I had inquired about, which added to the confusion and frustration. The games themselves were fun — that was the highlight. But from an organizational standpoint, the experience fell short. I personally would not feel comfortable hosting another event there if this level of disorganization is typical. If you’re considering booking a birthday party, keep in mind that experiences may vary. Unfortunately, mine was not a great one, and I don’t see myself returning.

I’ve been to Beat The Bomb before, and what has always made the experience great was the customer service. That’s the main reason I came back. This time was completely different. From the moment we walked in, the service was terrible. The person who checked us in was unprofessional and clearly uninterested. No energy. No effort. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. I’m not sure if there’s been a lot of staff turnover recently, but the difference was obvious. The new team does not seem trained or invested in delivering any type of customer experience. And for a place where the vibe and interaction matter as much as the games, that’s a problem. Buyer beware. The experience is only as good as the staff running it, and right now staff is trash. 1 star is way too high.
