  One Star - Save Your Money (and Appetite) I recently visited Main Event in Thornton hoping for a fun night of games and a decent meal. The games were fine, but the dinner service was a disaster. Our server was MIA most of the time, and when we did see them, they seemed completely uninterested in helping us. Denise, our server is a liability to your business. While ordering we asked for no onions on our burger, she said “well you’ll have to pick them off. We’re busy.” Granted there were only 2 other tables in the dining room. We told her no onions due to food sensitivity and she replied “I’ll try my best.” Honestly, the terrible service ruined the entire experience. I'd recommend skipping the food altogether and grabbing something elsewhere after your games. There are plenty of other options in Thornton where you can get better service and a decent meal.

  Was really disappointed to stop by and not get any help despite how busy it was. Stood at the guest relations counter for a while to try and get game passes but it seemed like no employees were around to sell the experiences they just want you to pay for the token games, so we’ll just take the family back to Dave and Busters.

  Most definitely not the experience I was expecting. We paid over $100 to bowl . Over $100 On just food and 2 kid drinks. The bartenders were beyond disrespectful. They seemed almost annoyed any time we walked up To the bar for anything we needed. The front desk was just as bad I don’t know how long I stood right up front at the desk to get a ramp for the ball and multiple employees even mangers just walked right by me and didn’t bother to see what I needed. We had to ask 4 different times just to get one and by then our time was about up.

  The associates that are employed by this establishment are lazy and rude. While attempting to speak with the three associates attending the prize desk to ask them about the unattended laser tag desk, I was met with a rude response before I could finish my sentence. "There is someone over there." So I had to repeat myself, "There is no one at the desk and the sign says to come to the prize desk and ask for more information." They then said "There is someone over there, they're probably busy with a game." Two of the associates were sitting on the ground behind the desk on their phones. My party arrived on time, but the associate attending the laser tag desk took it upon themselves to allow a group that had arrived earlier than there scheduled time to go ahead of us. The waitress for the bowling event was also mono toned and had an attitude that made it seem as if she didn't appreciate the opportunity to work.

  I was looking for a place last minute to plan my 40th birthday that adults, teens, and kids could all enjoy. I submitted online requests to four different venues on a Saturday night, and Shantel from Main Event Thornton contacted me back in less than 24 hours! She called me directly, went over some options, and sent an invoice the same day — talk about efficiency! The next day, I decided to upgrade the food options, and even though Shantel wasn’t available, Brendan stepped right in. I didn’t have to repeat a thing — he knew exactly what we’d discussed and even sent me links to view different private rooms for our celebration. By Tuesday, I stopped by for a tour and was greeted by Nicole, who showed me around and then introduced me to Tim — and let me tell you, he’s the king of upsells (in the best way possible)! We ended up choosing the Eagles Nest Lounge, which offered a private section with 8 bowling lanes (I rented 4) for 20 adults. It’s tucked away from the chaos of the arcade and open bowling area — absolutely perfect for a private party! Then came the add-ons: Premium drink wristbands? Sold. Extra hour? Sold. Viva La Flavor buffet? Sold. Game cards for the kids? Sold. Everything came together beautifully. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Our bartender Paris (and her partner, whose name I can’t remember — probably because I enjoyed a few too many drinks 😅) took amazing care of us, delivering drinks right to our tables and keeping the good vibes going all night. The best part? All of this came together in just 3 days, with only a week to plan the whole event. The Main Event Thornton team didn’t miss a beat — communication was seamless from start to finish. Everyone had a blast — the birthday girl (me!), the adults, the teens, and even the tiny tots who had fun trying to play skee-ball and ride the mini motorcycles. I 100% recommend Main Event Thornton for any celebration. Five stars all around!
