This was our first escape room and it was so fun!! Jasmine and Ivan were both awesome, the kids (ages 7 and 10) were able to figure out most of the clues (we did the Maniacal Lairboratory) and it was amazing.

This was so fun! Nat was our game master and we absolutely couldn’t have been able to do it without his helpful hints. He was very knowledgeable- all of the employees were great. Try Prison Break, it was fun and challenging.

Me and my friends just played The Gift, and it was a very fun experience! The puzzles are pretty straightforward and whenever we got stuck our game host Lauren was incredibly helpful. She's incredible and enthusiastic and she definitely made the experience all the better. Hoping to come back again soon !!

We had a fantastic time at this escape room. The “Fair Game” Room was a perfect mix of well done puzzles and team work games. We barely finished in the hour and got a couple hints but it was honestly a great level of difficulty. I was wary of the corporate/chain room and will certainly return to try the other rooms! Big shout out to Isaiah who was one of the better game masters I’ve had at any room. He was funny, kind, and helpful.

I have done 3 escape rooms over the past 3 years here - The Gift, Fair Game, and Confinement. I have won 2/3 (I lost Fair Game by only about a few minutes, but I had a smaller, far less experienced team). I beat Confinement (their hardest offering) with 10 minutes to spare. I have done escape rooms in many places (OMESCAPE, Palace of Fine Arts, etc), been on the leaderboards for them, and also design my own rooms. The escape rooms here are fully functional. So it is with a heavy heart that I say that the puzzles here are just not up to par. In Game Design, puzzle games must always have an "aha-moment", or at the very least, an "Oh that makes sense, I should've been able to see that" after you see the solution. The rooms here are filled with puzzles that are either too obvious, or don't have enough indicators for their clues. The latter is the worst culprit - in Confinement, there were 2 puzzles for which even after the solution is understood, I'm left scratching my head to understand how we were even supposed to figure it out in the first place. There are other issues, like the use of 4-number locks in the same place (resulting in needing to guess-and-check which one is which), and lack of indicators for which clues are for which puzzles (resulting in again, guess-and-check). Lack of parallelism - many puzzles are completely unsolvable until very late in the game, despite presenting themselves as solvable since early in the game, leading to many people not having enough to do and also feeling stuck. Overuse of brute-force decoding, which requires no thinking at all. Lastly, the story-to-puzzle integration is effectively impossible to understand. The story is probably the least important part of an escape room, but it helps with immersion, and although the theming here is perfectly fine, they don't integrate with the puzzles well at all. All this is to say - only come here on sale. And the harder escape rooms are more frustrating than satisfying. Go to OMESCAPE instead, every single one of those is far better than this.
