Since 1963, the Improvisation Comedy Clubs have remained the premier stages for live comedy in the United States. Over the decades, the talent who have graced Improv stages represent the Who’s Who in American comedy.
Brea Improv is located in sunny Orange County, California, a short drive from Disneyland and a variety of shopping options. In 2018, Brea Improv moved to its current location and added a Copper Blues Rock Pub + Kitchen. Guests can now enjoy live comedy and live music all in one night.
The Improv opened in Brea, California in 1991. Since its opening, well-known comedians and actors have graced the stage, drawing audiences from Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire and Riverside County. Such stars as Jo Koy, Russell Peters, Margret Cho, Gabriel Iglesias, Wanda Sykes and dozens of others have offered the little town of Brea, Hollywood-style recognition and media attention. The renovated Brea Improv features state-of-the-art sound and video systems-- ideal for special events and live tapings. Showtime and Comedy Central have both filmed television specials at the location.
I enjoy this improv. It's organized And drinks and food are good. Highly recommend getting the VIP especially when it's only like $20 more.

The location is great, Downtown Brea. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants to choose from if you're into dinner and a show! My personal favorites are Reunion, Cha Cha's, and the Olive Pit. You will not be disappointed!

I've been here several times, latest was to see Josh Johnson. My heart sank when I saw it was going to be at Brea Improv, cause straight up that venue offers a trash experience if you dont get lucky and are put up front of the perpendicular tables. The point of the venue is presentation but someone decided the best way to sit through a show here is at a 90 degree angle turning half your body as you do your best to awkwardly avoid blocking everyone else's view while at the same time trying to have one. Lady in front of me had her hair done in puffy curls, I didnt see any of Josh's show, just the back of this oblivious ladies head. And while sweating. I'm in an established business in Brea and they have the AC set to economy mode. This was my experience when I saw Randy Feltface, and the other times where it was a mix of comedians. I only gave the venue another shot cause the newsletter email said it was going to be a smaller intimate experience. I dont know what was changed because they did push the original date of the event around, but regardless, the one star is on the venue and its terrible seating, wont come back for even the free shows that get pushed to me instagram.

This was my first time and most likely my last time going to this particular improv. While this place holds more people the view of the stage is not available if you do not arrive early. I don't know how early is early being that my party arrive hour and a half before the show and we still ended up in the back. The ticket booth agent was extremely rude and the staff seemed to be frantically pacing. They did make sure to mention there is a two item limit. Our food came out 20 minutes till show ending although we ordered when we was first seat hour or so. So this venue was a no for me

This was the first time visiting the new location. I realize I needed my ID but didn't read further where it must be noted EVERYONE must have a valid unexpired drivers license. We were celebrating my friends 94th birthday. The man walking the sidewalk checking everyone and scanning the tickets said with his ID at 94 years old, he could not go in. Tried calling the number listed on the website, but noone ever answers and no one ever returns calls. We got his license after going back across the street to get the car then driving home. When we returned we Valle parked. At the front door check in, the young lady asked if the tickets were already scanned. I told her yes but the guy said we needed his I.D. she didn't even look at the I.D. and we went in. We were seated in the at the long table the faces the stage. I thought the seats were perfect. The food was OK but if you need extra condiments etc, make sure you tell the waitress as you are giving her your order. We asked two different persons for more catsup but they never came back. The burgers are a bit dry and the fries are OK and good size. One down fall is, the restrooms are way out at the front door and seem to be shared with the next door restaurant. Its a very long walk from your seat in the theater. When mentioned to the young lady about the phone she said we don't have a phone. So the question lyes, what number are we calling when we think it's the Brea Improve Theater and why aren't they considerate in calling back a customer. It leaves a bad taste when they ask a 94 year old senior who can barely stand up for an ID and couldn't consider common sense. Thank you.
