I bought a Groupon for three children to play at Slick City. My youngest was terrified to go down the slides. We noticed an area for children to play, but it was labeled five and under. We spoke to a manager to see if my daughter could play in the younger children’s area, she is seven and we were told no. She sat with us the entire hour and a half while her sister and cousin played. There is not much to do, only steep slides to go down and only head first which can be scary for younger children. We will not be returning here ever.

This is my 2nd time coming here, and the place is fun even it’s still a little overpriced with a Groupon, but this time after checking the door for a no outside food or drink sign, reading the rules sign just inside that doesn’t say anything about no outside food or drink and talking to an employee at the check in counter who said that shouldn’t be a problem to bring in outside food or drink, I thought, “Sweet, a place that gets it!” I brought my family in and grabbed some pizza from nearby. As soon as I walked in with the pizza another employee comes beelining to stop me before I get to the eating area to tell me no outside food or drink. So we ate in the parking lot. It was a nice evening so no big loss and it really didn’t take away any extra time than it would have to sit and eat inside while some kids ran around and stopped by for a slice, but it did earn Slick City this lovely 2 star review because honestly a 1 star review just seems petty.

A bit pricey without a deal/discount, but our first visit went phenomenally. My oldest was a bit reluctant about trying this place (thought it would be a series of slides lined up in a straight row and we thrive on variety), but my kids were planning their next visit as we left. Our visit was in the evening on a Saturday which crossed over into their “After Hours” event - so fun! I appreciated the staff presence throughout during our time there and also seeing sitting areas being cleaned (especially during cold and flu season).

My kids had a great time here. The place is very clean. I think they need a few more staff to supervise some of the ramps, but maybe we caught them on a day when they were short because of people calling out. It would be easy for kids to land on each other coming off the main jump unless you have someone supervising that can make sure that kids don’t go down the slide until the previous kid has moved out of the way. We thought about eating the food, but it was super expensive. I would say the ideal age range would be toddler through 12-year-old.

We have given Slick City, Queen Creek location, more than one chance because the owner has always tried to make our experiences right, which is honestly why we have continued to come back. We visited today, 4/10/26, from about 10:45 to 12:45, and unfortunately the experience we had with one of the employees was really disappointing. There was a female worker, her name started with an A, who yelled at my barely 6 year old daughter for being in the kids section. My daughter is very tall for her age, but she is still only six. The way she spoke to her actually made my daughter start crying because she was so upset and confused about why she was being yelled at. When I walked over to understand what was going on, the employee continued to be very rude and only told my daughter to get out, even though there were clearly other kids in that same area who looked older than five. When I asked about it she said she did not care. A few minutes later she came back and said my daughter could stay, so my daughter went back to playing and was not bothering anyone or causing any issues. Less than five minutes later the same employee came back again and told my daughter she had to leave. When I asked why the rule suddenly changed, she said she had spoken to her manager. I did speak with the manager and he did try to make the situation right, which I appreciated. He explained that the area is for kids five and under. I completely understand rules, that is not the issue. My question was simply why my daughter was singled out when there were clearly other kids in the same area that looked older than five. He then said it had to do with height, not age. That was confusing because that was not what was said in the beginning, and there is nothing posted that mentions a height restriction. What made the whole situation even more frustrating was how inconsistent the rule enforcement was. It really felt like they were choosing which rules to enforce and when they wanted to enforce them, and unfortunately my daughter was the one who ended up being singled out. Overall it was just frustrating to watch my young child be yelled at, singled out, and left crying when she was simply playing like the other kids. We have always tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt, but experiences like this make it hard to want to come back.
