  We had the best experience at The Witt House in September 2023. It is a beautiful venue. The caterer and all the workers were spot on for the rehearsal dinner and all the way to the end of the reception. We got in early on both Friday to set up and Saturday to get ready. It was a beautiful wedding. The venue is owned by Jody Whitt. They take care of so much for you. He owns JW’s Steakhouse in Priceville. The bride, groom and parents went in to for a taste test of the choices of food the bride and groom picked out. It was all delicious. The bride’s room and groom’s room were perfect for all of us to get ready. Can’t say enough great this great venue. And the wonderful experience we had with Jody and his excellent team

  We had a luncheon after a funeral Sunday. We had chosen the venue for convenience for those traveling. We met with Jody to finalize the arrangements. We mentioned that we may arrive a little before 1:00 ( scheduled time) and he said that would be fine. We arrived at 12:45 to the venue to a room set up with the flowers on the tables, no representative to greet us. The food was not in chafing dishes, no beverages set up, nothing. I called to let him know we arrived and then the server came to set up. She thought it was at 12:00?? I offered to help her because we had folks that attended the funeral that were in a hurry to get on the road. It was so embarrassing to have to make excuses to our guests as to why the food was not ready. At 1:17, we blessed the food. Sadly, the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. More apologies, more embarrassment. Added stress and emotions that could have been avoided! For the food to come from a mile away it should have been there by 12:45 and on the burners staying hot. She was lighting the burners at 12:55. There was absolutely no excuse! Totally inexcusable! We never received an itemized printed version of our total costs which we asked for 2-3 times. I’m saying this so no one else has to go through this at a time when you are already struggling and stressed. I rated this a 2 because the venue is beautiful. Everything else was a letdown. I spoke with a person at the steakhouse and voiced my concerns. Hopefully they get better at catering, service and hospitality.

  This venue and everyone working there were amazing and so helpful. My daughter’s wedding was beautiful with this beautiful house. I would recommend this venue for your upcoming wedding or any event.
