Just got home from the Jonnie W show, and this was our first time at Levity Live. We got there early, and got seats right up front. I am an IT Technician, and I have to say I really enjoyed the technology of scanning the bar code on the table, and getting to order the food and drinks without having to wait for a server.
My wife got the sliders and the Garlic fries, I got the Cheese Sticks, and a double burger with fries, as well as some ice cream. Let me say that all these bad food reviews? BOGUS...the food was really good. Our seat partner (we met in line) had the Nachos and she cleaned the plate they were so good she said. What I really liked was that in the app you were able to put in requested items like No Cheese on the sliders (wife hates cheese), and I got a large side of Mayo as I like eating fries with mayo. I also requested no produce on the burger. I hate getting that and then not eating it, when they can save it for someone who will. Let me say that the cheese sticks were absolutely fantastic. Perfectly cooked. The burger was good, above average, but not great, but that was ok with me. I'm not really there for the food, it was a good burger, as were the fries. I think the fries are coated in some sort of light batter making them crunchier....I didn't think I'd like that, but they were good. I didn't finish them. Then I wanted just some plain vanilla ice cream and saw that they had a fudge sunday that came with Ice Cream, chocolate sauce, Marscapone cherry and whipped cream. I ordered it and requested ONLY VANILLA ICE CREAM.... $10 worth without any chocolate or anything else, and they did it!!! I was very pleased, I got 2 huge scoops....so that part was extremely pleasing.
Now for the bad part...and it wasn't THAT bad, but still, it seemed to me that they just didn't have enough help. Our server at least 3 times asked us if we needed something, we told him, he leaves, and never gets us what we asked for. I had to remind him all 3 times, the last time, he asked if I wanted another Mt Dew, I said yes, he leaves with my glass, and I sit there over 20 minutes never seeing him again. I finally order another soda in the app, then about 10 minutes later, he shows up with my drink, and says he cancelled my requested one, as I got the souvenir glass, which I knew, but I sat without a drink for over 20 minutes. I hate to complain about it, but I want Levity Live to know that you need more servers or something. Attention to detail, if you tell a guest you are going to do something, you do it....I shouldn't have to hunt you down or yell out at you to get your attention to remind you that you were supposed to do something. That's just not cool. Maybe if he didn't have so much other work to do? I don't know....but it made the experience less enjoyable.
Anyway, the food was great, Jonnie W was great....we had great atmosphere.....the way the tables were lined, great.....the service needs improvement. I still tipped 15% but would have tipped 20 % or 25% had the service been better.
