One of the best German Style Christmas Markets in US. Food is genuine German style. Also have Doners! Very crowded on weekends. Food and drinks can be a little pricey but worth it expect to spend $10-20pp. Gluvine is great and worth buying souvenir cup. Buy tickets early for rides, lines are long.

We absolutely love the Christkindlmarkt and it has become one of our favorite family traditions. All of the vendors are so easy to deal with and friendly. I would recommend going earlier in the season because it gets more crowded the later it gets. Overall, this was a wonderful experience for my whole family and their pups!

We've gone two years in a row. Lots of family fun and good food. The food unfortunately doesn't really represent German food like you would think. The ferris wheel was down that day which was disappointing for the kids. The tubing area also needs a little work, the tubes don't go far and the slope of the hill wasn't really thought out very well. Also there aren't that many Christmas vendors, which you would think they would promote more of.

This is a neat and different Christmas event had in Cullman and is like what is had in Germanyaround Christmastime. There is a ferris wheel, ice skating, tubing, shops, music and, of course, food. My family had the Liege Waffles this year. They were delicious. The Cinnamon sugar roasted nuts are delicious as well. The event expanded this year to include some of the downtown area and that was nice change and spreads out the crowds.
We got there at sunset and there was a very short line for the ferris wheel. By the time we got to ride the wheel, it was dark. It was nice to see the while area lit up in the dark. A change this year is you can by event tickets at the event, they didn't have that last year. That saves time. Enjoy it!

Fantastic Christmas experience. I read some of the reviews and it appears many people who gave this a poor review experienced large crowds. I guess we went on the right evening because it was very pleasant.
The Christkindlmarkt is a totally different experience. It has the feel, sights, sounds and smells of small town in Germany during Holiday season. No entry fee, reasonably priced German food and drink, Alcohol available, all vendors are selling German theme Christmas items, which were a little expensive but what isn’t these days. There are rides, ice skating, and holiday entertainment with bands and singers. They are open during the day and at night. They have many firepit areas and heaters to keep warm. The open fires smell wonderful. There was plenty of parking a short walk away but you can park closer if you want to pay $10. All the merchants and entertainers were friendly and spoke to us as we walked around. The bathrooms were clean. The fair grounds were clean and well kept. The trash cans weren’t overflowing.
I will return next year.
If you go to Huntsville Tinsel Trail or Botanical Garden Galaxy of Lights or Madison Rocket City Light Show you get large crowds, pay way too much to enter, pay to park and all you get is the same old lights, No food or very expensive BBQ or pizza, and No entertainment and no fair rides. Most of the Huntsville market events are selling high priced art work, clothes or gutter guards and have no Christmas theme.
