They test their hay and post copies of the lab analyses so it is easy to check sugar levels, relative feed value, etc. of each lot. I work full time and don’t have the time or energy to be tracking down hay, picking it up and stacking it myself, and then repeating the process a couple of months later. With Old Dominion, I know that I’m feeding my horses quality hay and am able to buy enough at one time to provide consistency. Only once did we ever receive a load of hay that we weren’t happy with, and Mike sent the truck out with replacement hay and hauled the old away. Highly recommend!
- LGLynn GreeneJul 19, 20255.0I've had horses for 5 decades. ODH makes it easy buy the right hay for my older horses and those with health challenges like Cushing. Mike has a great system of hay management where, using his numbering system, I can get the same hay from the same farm that has been analyzed for starch and sugar (among other things too). Jonelle has even texted hay analysis reports to my vet. She is wonderful to work with! For my healthy horses I often have the option to buy large squares that are easier for me to transport and use. This outfit is the best hay supplier I've ever had!!
