  Newport Propane is a terrific company serving Jamestown. They do a great job of delivering automatically based on radio sensor communications. If you want a delivery for a special reason, they are very responsive. They seem to have a truck on the island most days. We recently had them upgrade our installation to address some code ossues and to triple our tankage. Their price was very reasonable, their technicians were very professional, and all work was performed on schedule.

  Regarding my family member's experience who has been a loyal customer of 6 years: Unprofessional, incompetent rude staff. Every call yields a different negative outcome. The staff doesn't communicate internally. The RI Attorney General's Consumer Protection Unit has been notified for review.

  Newport propane has the best service we’ve ever experienced in their industry. We switched from oil and they made the conversion and have provided us with propane since and we have never looked back except been grateful for their continued service and excellence. also believe their pricing is fair in these difficult times and the fact that they have at least one truck on both sides of the bay daily makes all the difference.
