  I brought in an aluminum long block along with additional scrap, including rotors and an OEM Toyota catalytic converter. The payout for everything came to just over $46, which was surprisingly low given the materials involved. The catalytic converter alone was valued at only $10, a figure that did not seem remotely consistent with its actual scrap value. What stood out even more than the pricing was the customer service. One of the employees—an older guy wearing an extra-medium T-shirt—treated the interaction like a personal power trip. He repeatedly called me "little boy" and spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if I had no idea what I was bringing in. Instead of focusing on the transaction, he spent much of the time rambling about his 2014 pickup truck and how he's still grinding away six days a week at the scrap yard at 60 years old. None of that had anything to do with why I was there. Between the disappointing payout and the unprofessional behavior, this experience left a very negative impression. I won't be returning, and I would recommend that others do their homework before bringing valuable materials here.
