Heath and company are easily the best powdercoating shop in the area. I dont know what they do differently from all they other shops we use, but the quality is top notch, pricing is competitive, and they are always willing to accommodate scheduling issues. Check out their work at Cranes Roost and Joker Marchant Stadium ( Detroit Tigers Spring Training facility) if you need to see for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions About Performance Powder Coating

What is powder coating, and how does the process work?

Powder coating is a finishing method where dry, electrically charged powder is sprayed onto metal surfaces and then cured in an oven to create a smooth, durable coating. The heat causes the powder to melt and bond evenly, forming a protective layer that resists chipping, corrosion, and fading. Customers working with Performance Powder Coating often choose this method for automotive parts, railings, furniture, and industrial components. The process also produces a thicker, more uniform finish than many traditional liquid coatings. When you partner with Performance Powder Coating, you can expect careful surface preparation, precise application, and consistent results designed to last in Florida’s demanding climate.

What materials can be powder-coated?

Powder coating works best on conductive materials, most commonly steel, aluminum, and other metal alloys. These materials allow the electrostatic charge to hold the powder in place before curing. Items like gates, fencing, machinery housing, patio furniture, and bike frames are popular candidates. Performance Powder Coating will evaluate thickness, shape, and intended use to ensure the finish performs well over time. Thin-gauge metals or intricate parts may require special handling to avoid warping during the curing stage. Proper inspection and prep help guarantee strong adhesion and a uniform appearance across the entire surface.
