  I've been a regular customer for about 10 year. I've complained to them sometimes about their prices as they were a small amount higher than the competition, but I still stayed with them. Well, today, I was charged double what I normally pay for 75/25 Ar/CO2 welding gas. They attributed it to inflation and that everyone's prices were going up. I believed them...Big mistake. I called Alamo Welding Supply and they quoted me a price of $45 compared to the $63 at Texas Welding Supply. I called Texas Welding back and asked if they had charged me the wrong price. The salesperson confirmed that was their price and that they get their gas from the same supplies as Alamo. I asked why their prices were so much higher. He laughed and said, "That's our price." So lesson learned!!! Cheat me once and that'll be the end my loyalty. You might want to call around before going to Texas Welding Supply. You could end up getting the shaft, even if you are a long time customer.

  Worst welding supply store I have been to in Austin. They ignore walk-in customers and are generally unhelpful. Go to Alamo off Chicon instead.

  Exceptional and Best of the best; Texas Welding Supply is by far the greatest medical and commercial gas supplier in Central Texas. I say this so emphatically that I can honestly say second place is not even close! Their staff (customer service, warehouse and delivery) are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and eager to help. They go above and beyond at every level. I have had multiple experiences with them and they only get better! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

  Great place, local, easy going. Google shows 7am open time on some days. Don't go at 7am. I got there at 8:15 and the guys were just opening the shop. No big deal. But pretty sure their website doesn't have the hours and Google was off.
