- PCPaula ChildsJan 12, 20261.0As a longtime customer of Smith Oil I would advise anyone considering using this company to avoid them at all costs. Smith Oul cut off my oil delivery without notifying me until I woke up one morning with an empty oil tank and no heat. I called their emergency service technician who never showed up. When I called the office when it opened at 8am I was told that Smith Oil stopped delivering due to an unpaid bill. Prior to this incident I had a credit card in file with Smith Oil for automatic payments. I was unaware that the same credit card had been cancelled because it had been hacked. I also did not see emails from the company about my bill. When I realized what had happened I mailed them a check for the full amount due. But the woman at their office refused to even provide me with a few gallons of oil to give me heat until she received the check in the mail . As a 77 year old senior citizen I am appalled at this treatment. I have severed ties with Smith Oil and will never do business with them again. Neither should you.
