I first contacted Clinton Glass & Mirrors in mid-July for a quote. They got back to me fairly quickly, the price was reasonable, and they even agreed to match a competitor’s quote. So far so good.
But after that? Everything went downhill. I found myself essentially project-managing the entire process, chasing them week after week. Each time, it was the same pattern: I’d call or email to say, “You were supposed to let me know when you can come by to take measurements / send the revised estimate / send me your COI,” and they’d respond, “Oh we didn't send that/do that? Ok, we’ll get right on that.” And then… silence. Another week gone.
By last week, I’d had enough. I told them directly: if they didn’t send me the final estimate and a timeline for installation, I was walking. It’s now Wednesday, September 25th, over two months since my initial outreach. And do I have a final estimate or an installation date? Nope.
From other reviews, I believe their workmanship is solid, and I genuinely wanted to hire them. But it’s absurd that a customer has to hound a company this much just to move things forward. What they desperately need is an office manager who actually knows how to communicate and keep projects on track. Right now, it feels like the people I’ve been dealing with either don’t have the bandwidth or simply don’t have the skill.
So, fair warning: if you work with Clinton Glass & Mirrors, be ready to run the project yourself. As for me? They wasted 2+ months of my time and now I have to start this process all over again with another company. So yeah, not impressed.
