- JCJ COct 28, 20251.0I agree with others, called to send in a large amount of Canadian maple leafs 1oz coins, the guy in the refining department asked me if there is any scratches on them, then said he would have to melt them down and would only pay me 98% "nobody melts them down" too much game playing,So I called elemetal and they paid me 99%, I used them also for gold filled several times and the assay always comes back 15% worse than other refiners Won't be back, and please don't send in spent watch batteries, I sent in 5lbs they paid me nothing

- TFThomas FortAug 31, 20221.0I was a former business customer of United PMR and after closing my business used them in July as an individual to refine some silver scrap. Indicating that I might use the settlement to trade for mill products or bars/ rounds I decided to have the metal returned in casting grain. I was informed that there was a $2.00 per ounce charge to return the metal as casting grain as it is out of their "pool" account. While I have no problem with the refining charges I consider this extra $2.00 OZ charge as deceptive theft. It is now my assumption that any metals that are in a UPMR pool account are going to be subject to extra fees upon return.
