  Fast, friendly , professional service. I lease my water heater from Unitil and they sent Atlantic to take care of the job. Nick was here the same day to inspect everything and found my chimney needed to be cleaned before they could install a new hot water heater. I called Atlantic at 10 o'clock and said the chimney has been taken care of and Nick was back to inspect it before 11:00. He called the office and said everything was good to go, "send a water heater over". He stayed and drained the old water heater and the new water heater was here before the old was fully drained. It was a smooth experience!

  After receiving a oil delivery in mid-January my furnace stopped running mid-march. After I reach out to the service department and learned that it was $149 for a service call and on social security I needed a plan b. 6 gallons of diesel got the furnace running 18 additional gallons kept it running. I'll leave it to you to determine what caused my furnace to stop running.

  Atlantic Heating Pros: 1. Quick and responsive - got us on the schedule within days to replace our failed boiler in the middle of winter. 2. Showed up when they said they would, did the work. 3. They recommended a better tank and we finally have enough hot water for multiple 10-15m showers in a row. 4. Heat works great now and we have a brand new efficient system. Atlantic Heating Cons: 1. Only 1 floor had heat after they installed our nearly 15k system. 2. They had to come back 5 times over the course of several weeks to figure out what was wrong. Their team insisted that I needed to move the furniture further from the heat registers and consistently argued with me that the furniture placement was the reason our new system couldn't heat our first floor above 50ºF. When I mentioned that the furniture had always been there and I didn't see why it should only be a problem now, I was dismissed. 3. We bought and installed a new thermostat on their recommendation after one of their return visits. 4. On another visit, after checking our install, they replaced our thermostat with a different and then just...took the one we bought. Might have been an accident but I thought it was odd. 5. Finally, the owner came back and fixed the problem, which, you guessed it, was not with the furniture placement but rather with an improperly installed piece. Would have been pretty nice to have heat during the several weeks it took for the problem to get resolved. 6. After all this back and forth with them, I told my male partner to tell them the exact same thing I had been saying and handle communications with them. After that, we seemed to get more traction. This was after I explained that I was their client, not him. I own the house and I bought the boiler. Didn't seem to matter. I guess I'm glad it got resolved finally but it was overall an extremely expensive and frustrating process. That being said, boiler works, hot water works.

  I needed an emergency oil delivery today, and they wouldn't do it because I'm not on their "regular delivery plan", despite the fact that I've bought oil from them when I've needed it for a couple of years now. They should put that caveat on their site where they say they do 24/7 emergency services, but they won't because they're tiresome like that. Called ACE OIL and they were here in 2 hours to fill up my whole tank for a $200 emergency fee and no bullshit. Almost cried with relief.

  The Atlantic Heating Company team is the best!  During the first big snow storm this winter, I knew I needed a delivery.  The temps had already started to plummet but because I'm remote, I had no way of knowing if I had enough oil at the house to avoid a freeze.  I called to request a delivery but it was too late in the schedule for a delivery to my area, but they said they would see what they could do. Long story short, three people, two in the offices, and the delivery driver, made it happen.  The driver had to break off her route, drive to my area, make the delivery, then go back to finish the route. Talk about relief!  I can't thank them enough for the extra effort. Also, I've needed repair work done in the past, and I can tell you the tech team is also top notch.  What a great company!
