- LFLyn FitzgeraldFeb 19, 20151.0I had a TERRIBLE experience today with Carey's Oil. I placed an order last week (Thursday), to be delivered today, and they LOST my order. I called them this morning, they told me order was lost and I would not get my oil today. When my husband understandably expressed his aggravation that we wouldn't get our oil until Saturday, the woman who answers the phones hung up on me! After many tries calling back, I finally got through and asked to speak to someone else. She told me there was no one else to talk to. When I asked why she hung up, she told me that she did so because my husband was upset, and that I need to shut him up while I'm on the phone., that they, Carey's Oil, "Didn't need the aggravation." Keep in mind, we ordered LAST WEEK for a delivery today, had less than 1/4 of a tank, and have two small children. When I told her that it was the company's fault, and that she didn't need to be rude, she implied that I was lying about calling last week. I had been going to this company for almost 8 years, since I moved here August 2007. Out if what I thought was desperation, I told her that we would just go with the Saturday delivery. I was asked "Are you sure you will keep that delivery, in the mean time, since your husband has so much extra energy, have him run out and pick up some diesel to tie you over." At that point, I said forget it, and then I was rudely hung up on again. Please do not give these people your money, the way I was treated was offensive. The silver lining to this is that I called Greeley's Oil and they were able to fill our tank, today. They now have a new customer in me.
