Never had any issues with als until this week. Christmas eve, no oil ordered a few days ago. They apparently show up to deliver and claim they couldn't due to ice on the driveway and to many vehicles. Mind you there's plenty of room and the driveway was relatively clear. Im sorry but if our Honda civic makes it up the driveway the oil truck certainly should be able to. I didnt see any tracks showing even an attempt from the driver. Not only that, in the past there have been times they just park in the road and walk thru the yard to the fill. Needless to say no oil was delivered and here we are Christmas day with no oil and no heat due to the unreliablity of als. Not sure if this is just a reflection of a lazy driver possibly upset hes working Christmas eve, just the same as I did. Will be looking for a new company after this. Maybe a company that puts customers first especially during the holiday season. And a company with trucks that are as capable as a Honda civic apparently and not scared of a hill.

Scheduled my first annual maintenance service for my homes furnace. Was given a 4 hour window. Had to miss most of work. Tech shows up on hour 3. Walks into my garage and literally says not a single word to me. Does not state his name, introduce himself, nothing. Very awkward. I had to ask all the questions. Mind you I am not an HVAC Tech. I come downstairs as the Tech completes the work. He asks for payment and signature. I sign and say "thank you, have a great day". The Tech literally says nothing and just walks away to his van. I don't know what this guys problem was but this is not how you act in front of a customer. Very unprofessional and intentionally rude. I am going to presume this is not how Al's Oil would want their business represented, but this is not the feeling I got after calling them to explain the situation. Additionally, because of the lack of communication from the Tech to myself, I was not aware they do not change the air handler filter, and therefore thought the full scope of work was not completed. This all could have been avoided with basic communication. You pay for a service and there should be clear communication. In short I will be looking for another HVAC company to service my furnace. Don't think I'll be buying my oil from them as well. Will not recommend to friends and family. ***Let me reiterate to the businesses response*** Whether the techs demeanor was intentional or unintentional it still came off as awkward and rude. Again, I was not looking for a conversation or to "chat" with tech. A simple "hello, my name is and I'll be servicing your furnace today" is all I was expecting, as a professional courtesy, for a service I am paying for. Additionally, when he left and handed me the receipt, he just walked away without a simple acknowledgment to my "thanks, have a great day". This is basic professionalism and common sense. I am an introvert, type B person myself, but I understand the difference between being polite, rude, and professionalism, on the job. For the record I never said to fire your tech and I have that phone call recorded if you would like to hear it. Let's not insinuate such, but let's also not disagree there is a minor level of customer service that's part of a techs job, since they're interfacing with customers, they need basic level customer service skills. Again, I am talking at the most basic level. I know because I use to be an IT Field tech. Whether we are good at it, like it, or not it's still part of the job. I guarantee if I went to a customers home to remove a virus off their computer. Showed up and did not say a word, introduce myself, state why I am here, and what the scope of work is, then proceed to walk away after completing the scope, I am almost certain the business would have received a negative review. In terms of the miscommunication of whether or not the work in its entirety was completed, well wouldn't it make sense to stop gatekeeping what an actual servicing entails? Wouldn't you want the customer to know what it entails? Transparency? That could be solved by simply providing a print out which outlines the scope of work (e.g. what's included and what's not, like the air handler filter). These are simple things that can be done to improve the relationship with your customers and bring additional business. I know I would have been impressed. I would have been like, wow that's a nice touch. Now I don't have to ask any questions because I know what this service entails exactly. I have nothing against your company or the tech. I'm simply telling you it came off as intentionally rude, whether it was or not, but how was the customer suppose to know.
