I had been a loyal customer for 2 decades. At one time I bought 1/2 ton of feed monthly. The last few years I became a two then one horse owner. Expect now I do the drive every 2 month to purchase enough for that duration of time. I made the drive this weekend to be told they no longer carry the high protein ration balancer I feed. The person working reassured me that had a different that would replace the 30% protein feed that I explained my muscle disease horse required. I was clear I need a high protein balancer the equivalent of what I was feeding. He told me he knew what I needed and bragged how happy I would be with it and that it would even save me money over what I was feeding. I drove home with the new product trusting he knew his products. When I got home, unloaded the product I found he had sold me a 12% feed. Nothing even remotely close to the 30% protein he promised he was selling me. I left a voice mail for the business I was unhappy I was told I was being sold a product comparable to 30% protein rationer I had been purchasing but was sold something 12% and that I could not use do to it did not meet my horse's veterinarian recommended needs. I included I lived an hour away. I did get a call back from either a woman named Heather or Heidi I believe it was Heather who was upset with me because she couldn't understand why I was upsset they didn't carry my former product. I am not upset they don't carry the product. I am upset that I was misled and bought a product that I can't use just so that he could make a sale. I have two months worth of feed that does not fit my horse's needs. It has nothing to do with it they don't carry my product anymore. It has to do with he sold me something that deliberately did not match my needs when I was very clear what I was after. They don't carry the product I want it anymore then let me go on my way to someone who can meet my needs if they can't. If you don't have someone knowledgeable enough working at the counter don't make recommendations. 12% protein is not even half 30% I was requesting. I it's too bad that this relationship had to end over dishonesty and lack of integrity. I have recommended many people over the years I was a loyal customer for two decades. But because he just wanted to make a sale when he didn't have the product I wanted He sold me something I can't use.
